Here we are at the two-week mark for each of these two plants. Something is clearly wrong with Golda, on the left. She seems comatose and just barely hanging on. I don't know, maybe she's just being busy underground, but above soil -- almost nothing. After 14 days since sprouting cotyledons she should be taller than 1.5 inches and have much better leaf development. Granted, her sister Nora is not exactly knocking it out of the park, but at least she growing somewhat. I do not attribute Golda's delayed development to anything environmental, and certainly not to the HG Silica amendment. I think it's just genetics.
I'll give Golda a little longer to see if she can finally get things in gear. But last night I began germinating another Cream Caramel as a potential replacement.
