There seems to be mixed opinions on which one is hotter for autos. I was curious what others have experienced while using them from seed to harvest.

Only after a good check. Fox farms quality control has been shaky as of late. I ran fox farms for several years, changed due to an unstable pH.
Happy Frog is the milder of the two. Ocean Forest will give you nothing but issues if running it from the start. I could see layering it, with the OF on the bottom, but again, I would look for a different soil.

ok. thanks for your advise. yes is stayed away from the ocean forest at fleet farm. There was a very limited selection there at the time as miracle gro was the only alternative at the time and i just grabbed a cartful of the happy frog and only popped the red dragon photoperiod seed from Barney's. I still have yet to germinate the my auto seeds as I am waiting for some decent weather and this May has been unusually cold this year.

Bizarre cool weather here too. Very wet, uncharacteristically so.

I always use fox farm ocean forest saves me on nutes in my opinion the soil is good for a while but I’m gonna germinate some auto seeds here soon and I was just planning on thinning out the ffof with a bag of coco coir and perlite hope it works out for me

Cool. Where I live coco is difficult to find and the only perlite I can find is the MIRACLE GRO junk that has some type of fertilizer blended in to it. I may just end up ordering some organic perlite from amazon when I order my PH equipment.
