Ocean Forest OR Happy Frog???

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking of doing! I have been using Jiffy Peat Pellets buried in the center of the FFOF in the same manner as you had described, and it does ok. I think the mycorrhizae content in HF would be really beneficial to the younger roots too.

The day after sprout I transfer my jiffys to their final home, 5 gal airpots filled with a premoistened mix of equal parts FFOF/FFLW and perlite amended with organic granular poultry manure. Through trial and error this is my medium for zero defect auto grows.

I am using biobizz light mix and add worm casting to the soil at the start and after 4 weeks.
I use their fertilisers that are organic, never had so good and healthy Plants.. :pass:

Biobizz light mix is the best soil I have used for autos. It gets you to the 3rd week mark and maybe a little further. I know this is a FF conversation but Biobizz is excellent stuff. Will not burn them at all. Start adding nutes at 21 days or so. AutoBeast uses this method and he grows amazing autos

Happy frog for starting, then after a month you can transplant into ffof. But ocean is too strong. It works and plants will definitely deal with it but finicky strains will give you trouble.

Right now im using a 3 parts happy frog and 1 part ocean forest and its doing me good

The auto is back on the right obviously. But it took to this mix quick. Never had any problems and basically only fed at the first sign of sexing
