Growing with the Scropion Diablo

And here they are in the 3 gallon pots and soaking up the light! Light is at 40%.

I wanted to mention the ratchets I'm using. They are made by iPower. They use steel cables instead of rope. Those ropes deteriorate, I've had 2 fail. These are very strong and the ratchet feels sturdy. The are not as easy to use as the rope type, but not by much. With a heavy light your not going to haul it up by the cable. You need to lift one end and tighten the cables then do the other end. Same for lowering the light. Safer that way too, you DON'T want that cable slipping through your hand!
And though not cheap, they are well worth the money to protect your valuable light!

Update:
Cranked up the light to 520 watts. Added some plants to the room. I had 2 photoperiod clones, a Mazar Landrace and a Gorilla Fume that have been in small pots too long! However, they responded well to transplant to 2 gallon pots, and have grown a lot in just 2 days! And I have 8 seedlings, 4 Black Ice photoperiods and 4 of my Blue Dragon. I was going to start some Stone Dragons I found but I just got Super Sativa Seed Club's Black Lebanon to test grow so shuffle time! And this is going to sound kinda backwards but I'm going to set up my 4x4 tent for the autos,
and grow the photoperiods under the Scorpion. And it's going to be a wild menagerie in there! But I like mixed strain grows! Feed will be Megacrop one part, and the medium is soil. I'm feeling foolish so maybe I'll ad a couple pots of coco and see if it still annoys me to use lol!

I recieved and set up my 2x2x4' tent today. It replaces the wooden cabinet I had in their. This will be the seeding/clone tent. It has a singe HLG QB 288 in there on HLG80H-54 driver that actually pulls about 110 watts! If I decide that's not enough, I have ahhh.......... several various Quantum Boards collecting dust.

The 4x4 tent will have one of my DIY 650R copies. I run them with pairs of HLG240H-C2100b drivers. Actual power draw for the pair is 521 watts at the wall, so about a true 480 at the light. I went with this setup because in a 4x4 tent without CO2 enhancement, more power would be total waste. I'm getting 920 PPF at 18", about max for plants at standard CO2 levels. I actually run them dimmed to 420 watts and they have been perect for my needs. I'll get pics when I get it set up.

Very snazy,
Wish I had of seen them ones, lol
I opted for a 4 pack of budget rope ratchets.

Because I bought a cheap 5x5 tent that has plastic corner connectors I thought it would be a better idea to distribute the weight on 4 ratchets rather than the 2 I got along with the light.
Otherwise the weight would all be in the centre area,

Yes, using 4 rope ratchets is a good Idea just for safety. Years ago I had a Mars Hydro Reflector 192, a big hulking light. Had 2 Rhino Ryders from Fast Buds under it and.........yep, the rope failed and the light flattened my plants! I added safety chains after that!
Those cable ratchets are fairly new and only iPower has that currently. I only stumbled onto them on amazon while looking at something else.
