Is that Edge Growpito...?...:amazon: ...they will be fighting hard to find out... Go Gladiators...

I'm leaning towards a yes however I am not entirely sure. Based on their own literature but the issue is how would you pre charge our material. The Autopot part was of interest in their manual.

From what I can tell, Orgatrex would probably be used at an EC of 1 or 500ppm U.S. for your pre charge.

I'll research it more though. Really interesting question.
Do you think it's worth giving it a shot?

Growpito is an alternative to coco, or peat basically? Just a medium to hold the rootball, the nutrients are applied externally

I can't really say to be honest. I was surprised when I learned of Mapito that it had not dominated the market, at least in Europe, but sub irrigation seems to have become incredibly uncommon for home cultivators at some point.

I think if you liked Mapito you'll love Growpito - We aren't rebranded btw lol
I genuinely believe it was down to the cost! We were paying £30 a bag when canna coco was only £13...
I loved the stuff though, I dont know why but you could use any base feed, hydro/coco/terra and have no issues whatsoever!!
If theres still space then count me in, autopots or standard ✌✌

So here is the preliminary list. I'll be going in order from the first post. I do not have an official start date and I do realize that some may not be able to participate depending on the start date. List is subject to change

Please let me know if you were interested in competing or just watching so I can amend the list.

Anyone that prefers to do Autopots please let me know.

Because of the hollow fibers they retain water, air, and nutrient until roots make contact.

Also, the Biotabs will work. No reason it won't, as long as it dissolves. Sim Mix is a "bio carrier" and it's inert. Whatever the grower puts in Sim Mix, that is what the plants get.

We're researching it for you as this is a unique question and situation.

Here is what @Seed Pixie had to say about Mapito

Mapito is NOT Growpito. Mapito has coco coir in it. Gross.

Mapito has binders and surfactants in it. It's just insulation. Gross.

Mapito threw coco coir in so there would be SOME water holding capabilities. The stonewool in Mapito is just hacked up insulation. Growpito has no binders or surfactants. It's just natural. The Mapito has no hollow tubes within the fibers because their fibers are filled up with binders. The surfactants in Mapito are water soluble and wash away in about 9 months. Then it is just trash. The only water holding capacity then is the coco coir, which has limited capabilities anyway because it's not actually "holding" water. We specifically make this stone wool for Sim Mix.

You can put me down for an autopot spot!

Got you in brother! @Mikis for autopots as well

I'm still interested and down for it. Will be glad to find a new system and test it. Thanks!

We are researching your question still. You are entered.

@Gladiators @Admin You all have been incredible from questions to rapid participation! I'll be keeping you all updated as this progresses.

Please let me know if your name is on the list but you are more interested in watching so that I can make final confirmations on participants.
