Growing the male

OK. From my very little understanding of hermies....it would have both female and male parts....correct?

A hermie male/female is just a confused plant with bad genetics.. All ways breed with a true stud! ..

I have some questions....
I have 14 plants (auto fem) Ministry of Cannabis white widows @ day 29
Today I found 2 males. I started seeing female parts on most of the plants a few days ago - I dont recall if the 2 (now males) had any female characteristics.
Are these considered hermies? Or are they just males? Should I toss them or put them in my small tent to harvest pollen?
THANKS.

side note: 1 of the males - I was trying my hand at LST

if a male came from a fem seed its not good to breed with it will most likely have herm genetics. You can try but it is probably not worth your time

if its is a natural hermi just snip off the balls as you see them ..

Thats the reason I simply hate female seeds.

:-\

I would totally harvest polem, seeds... Might even obtain feminized seeds (if its an hermied fem).

If its a true male... Still ... Got reg seeds. But thats even better!

You're indeed a very lucky person!

:)

Show US some pictures of your babies, will ya?

Breeding hermies is bad form dude, and I'm pretty sure it won't make femm seeds

I would listen to Evol, he knows what he is talking about. Don't breed the hermie, they will just end up pissing you off, trust me you will end up frustrated I know from experience. While you can end up making ok seedstock and maybe some feminzed seeds but in all likelyhood you will end up with a whole bunch of wang carrying females. Just my two pennies, sending super grow Karma your way!

Thanks for all the advice...im gonna toss them tomorrow.
Today when I looked in on them....some of the lower sacks were already dropping pollen. Thank God I got them out in time...

A little tip on hermie seeds. when it comes to making fem seeds no matter what you you going to cause stress and the reversed plant is technically a hermie and any generation can turn up hermie. This is why some seed companies absolutely will not make fem seeds I.e Bodhi or TGA subcool.
My uncle breeds cannabis as a hobby in northern California and this what I was told.
No matter what you do to create fem seeds you will create hermie seeds, but here is the most important factor:Generations
When you reverse a female or even cross a plant with hermie pollen 90% of the offspring will be Female yes it will still carry the hermie trait but very little thru the next two generations. It's isn't until you get to F3 and up of a reversed plant you start to seed hermie issues(why I cannot answer this question)
This is why I feel the best way to breed strains especially autos is to work with the reg pollen first, work your cross up to F4-F6 or how ever long it takes to get desired traits and then reverse a female of that generation to get your fem seeds. This is a way to insure stability instead of making a cross to create fem seeds and then trying to stabilize the strain because chances are you will need to go over F3 and that when you Start to see hermie odds are you will hit hemie issues before you stabilize the strain.
My suggestion in all this if you have a hermie plant and you end up getting hermie seeds keep them for personal use they are mostly females with little to no hermies but if you plan to start breeding with that plant then be prepared to be over run by hermie the farther you work it. This is why is good to have a trusted breeder when breeding with fem plants because is their breeding practices are not up to par you can run into a hermie problem before you are able to stabilize your strain and this is where most people give up and call a breeders genetics crap when really they they should have contacted said breeder in inquire what method their fems are made and what generation they are this can indicate how stable a strain is before you start to work with some strain you can only cross once without seeing hermie issues others can go 3-4 but in the end if your are breeding with a fem seed you will end up with a generation full of hermies. Just my 2 cents my uncle is not a master breeder by all means be makes a lot of sense to me.

Magic I don't know how true all that is but I do agree agree with you about breeding fem seeds. It frustrates me to no end that I can't some breeders seeds because all they sell is fem seeds, especially the autos. There are two breeders in particular that I would buy their seeds in a heartbeat if they had regular seeds, if I were a breeder I would offer both reg and fem seed, it seems to me that would maximize sales.
