Growing slower than global economy - PLS HELP

My dear experts - I am in a dilemma.. can you pls chime in:

60% of the trichomes are brown on the entire plant and they are somewhat curled..the cola buds are fat and the lower buds are not so much

Question: should I start harvesting ?

If I just harvest the cola buds (I.e cut the main stem below the fat buds) and leave the rest of the plant as-is, will the plant survive ?

Your referring to the pistils yes? Trichs you'll need a loop to check, and she doesn't look overall like a 60% ambered plant.

Pistils will not be accurate for judging cut strain to strain.

Trichs on the sugar leaves ripen faster than on the nugs, so watch the bud... bud...

hmmm, me thinkz ur gettin pistilz mixed up with actual trichomez clue -> pistil color meanz nada...it'z all about the trichz! arthur'z pic is a primo example yup, u'll need to get a loupe or other strong magnifying meanz to fully see what'z goin on with em, but u see how some of the "golfballz" on the "golf teez" are clear, and otherz have turned cloudy-? that'z what ur wantin to keep track of after the cloudiness comez the amber, i.e. the trichz themselvez are startin to die off, and the thc startz to degrade/convert to cbn, among other thingz...and "when to harvest" is alwayz a total joker'z-wild ques, lol, and is up to the individual grower...a general rule of thumb...and i emphasize "general"...is that the more cloudy/amber, the more the body stone, but even that can vary, depending on strain, etc...hope this helpz ppp

Get a loupe off amazon. And don't get the cheapo $10 one spend a bit more. I sent two back both came apart. They have the 30x and 60x combos. The 60x is better but is super hard to see through IMO. Im going to order a 100x one with a bigger lens to make it easier to see.

Thanks again for the loupe advice. I got the 60x one and it was manageable (not great).

I finally harvested my first plant. NL auto. It’s amazing the shit the plant had to go through and still have the buds.. curing and drying in progress .. fingers crossed.

I am using the cardboard method for drying
