Finally got a gal that I figured had enough roots to get started. Unfortunately she' a bit weird with just the 2 large leaves. We shall see.
I had gotten this bonsai soil as they talked about needing drainage and air and such but basically has no soil. Since I want to use knf nutes, I figured I needed to add some compost and sphagnum peat moss. I mean, how can you feed the soil if you don't have any? The rock is just a piece of limestone from the yard. (need to find one with a big shell in it.) Yup, in central Flo and the rocks all have shells in them. So much for the global warming bs.
I use a split cup thinking I could just pick the half up with roots hanging down, wrap roots around rock and backfill. Nope, picked it up and plant sucked right down through the dirt. These paper cups may be more "green", but the roots had started growing into it.
Anyways, cleaned up the roots and arranged them around the rock and back filled
The adventure begins
All for now
