Harvest & Curing Grove Bags Test Thread

Hmmm ok. I had four of the smaller bags stored and I "thought" I had closed them well but, the smell coming off them was incredibly noticeable. I'm getting a pretty good long term test as they will be sitting until at least early May. Perhaps I have just contaminated the outsides. I will try heat sealing and rechecking the seals to make sure I've zipped them shut properly. I will also give them a quick wipe down with isopropyl 70% and wear gloves while doing so.

I'll do all this in the next couple days and then replace the bags in their hiding spot. I will also spray down, de-odorize, and put an odor bag in their cubby and make sure it doesn't smell before re-hiding them. I'll let the odor stuff do it's job for a day or two before I put the Grove bags back in on their own.

I appreciate you guys answering. Thanks so much

EDIT: I have been lazy and haven't heat sealed them. Just one of those "next weekend" tasks.
@Grove Bags will fragrances penetrate into the bag if @DCLXVI stores them with a strong odor?

I didnt heat seal either and mine stink! Don't worry.

Lets think about this tho.

How do you keep air exchanging and at a certain rate AND be completely sealed. Maybe @Grove Bags can chime in on that.

Well..................another damn half-pound bag failure. No more than 7 times opening!
Every single half pound bag has failed!
That batch was pure crap!

I sure hope you guys found out what the hell wasn't right during this run. Your QA program sure needs attention!
I need to correct this for the forum, Grove know which ones failed with my order number.
It was the 1/4lb bags with the view window that failed. I'm sorry if this confused anyone with my screw up!

Thought I'd add a pic here too.

@bushmasterar15 - What size bags are those that start coming with the GB logo on the window?
I got the 1oz and quarter pound windowed bags when I ordered. The quarter pound bags do hold more then that in there
as I have mine stuffed with an extra 2 in there for quick storage. They might have changed the looks of them now. But I got them
from the home grow section of store. https://store.grovebags.com/home-grow/

Here is the build your own variety that you can choose different bags and amounts.

Thanks, love using them. I'm placing my second order soon. I initially only ordered smaller sizes as I didn't know what an ounce looked like.

I definitely think some slightly larger bags will be easier for me to load.
