Harvest & Curing Grove Bags Test Thread

Well if you are thinking about changes, you could make the tab above the zip-lock portion longer on the 1/4 and 1/2 pound bags. As it is I heat seal as close to the top edge as possible. Then if I need to get into the bag for some reason I trim close and then have a remainder to heat seal again. I can do this three times now if I am careful.
I second that.

Thanks for the feed back. Without customer comments we wont be able to improve. We are looking into multiple new zipper options.
Not knowing the specifics,Like I said, it could be as easy as a line speed problem, material or environmental temps or hopefully not a material incompatibility with the zipper material.
Hopefully it will be some simple adjustment in the manufacturing process.

technology is our best friend until it isn't lol. Hoping to have answers for all of you this week.

Tell me about it! I LOVE tech.....until I hate it! LOL!
I've tuned quite a few modern computer controlled cars since I started tuning my own car back in 2004. It was a fairly steep learning curve, but nothing unsurmountable with some study. I tuned a friend's 2017 twin turbo Coyote Mustang a few months ago. The actual tuning really wasn't that difficult at all and only took a few hours on the dyno and a little street driving to get the drivability perfect, but the damn troubleshooting to work out all the damn little things he had wrong with way too many things wrong to be ready for dyno time. Took me 5 days before I could put it on the dyno and a couple thousand $ to fix and replace the parts some sillyass sales guy advised him to buy. Tech is great! He can drive that car across the country and bust off an 8second 1/4 mile pass on each end.

I bought 25 pack terploc window 1 ounce bags. I'm comparing 3 one ounce bags compared to my jar cures. I'm 12 days into the cure. Comparably, I believe the terp. smells from the jars are distinctly stronger and more pungent than the grove bags. Furthermore, the zipper on one of the bags is pulling away from the bag after opening the bag approximately 10 times.
In the future, I will probably only be using Grove Bags for condensing longtime storage space and for gifts to people.

I have been debating whether to grab some of these using the build a box? section since I heard about them last year... I love them in theory, no jars and boveda bags lying around the place I had intended to buy some for last years outdoor guerrilla harvest but lost most of it to mould!.. shitty/ typical UK weather late summer!..
I think they're game changers for curing and storage, obviously over here we have to keep things ultra stealthy as you all know. I don't want my cupboards/ wardrobe/ stash spots looking like a canning factory!..
I'm now half way into a multi strain auto grow poss perpetual, so will definitely be needing something to separate my buds for cure and to stash away I wanted these innovative bags... my issue is postage to UK
25$ order - 45$ postage
50$ order - 57$
100$ order - 61$ postage
Plus possible fees etc!..
Say whaaaaat?!.
(its almost as bad as ebay postal scam tactics!) Almost!.. Haha
its just not viable for me to justify, which unfortunately sucks!.. are fees so high in USA? are we jus being Penalised because of our draconian laws?!.
I'm absolutely Gutted!.. Bloody jars it has to be for now!.. Shame...
Rant over...
Easy now!..

Give the storage more time. Once my Rh levels were stable in the half lb bags(roughly 10 days). I took them and put them in 1/2 oz bags and heat sealed them. Two weeks into the small bag cure. there was a marked increase in smell with new smells coming thu. A full month into the small bag cure. there was even more smell intensity. I guess part of the entourage effect and maturing of the terps, the potency has increased. Unsolicited potency reports by everyone that tasted the canna early, backed up my impression of potency increase.

edit......Yeah, there is a problem with adherence of the zipper to the outer bag material and that's about the point my 1/2 lb bags failed. No 1/2 oz bag failures for me. nor any from friends.

About to give the latest grow the chop so will be using the samples they sent over to the UK for me to try , they sent them by very quick mail maybe there is leeway for them to send by a cheaper slower method? .

@Redjimp That's the cheapest way as it goes Fedex 1st is quoted as 308$... hahaha Really!..
I'm happy to pay for the bags, even buy the equivalent I'd save if the postage was reasonable... I mean I pay 15 dollars for records shipped from the states and they're obviously heavier than a handful of bags!.. fo figure...
YOU got lucky with the samples... ya must be one of a few people who has them over here!.. not jealous much?!..
Are there any other distributors for @Grove Bags based in Europe possibly?..
