This is where i will grow and show all of my 2020 projects.
i will show stuff i am testing and also personal ventures. And i am overly excited to kick this year off right.

you fine folks that are familiar with me super awesome to see you again!
and for those who may not know and have been around a while I was formerly known as Ash-a-Ton

To kick things off, I have been an enthusiast of cannabis for a very long time and growing for about 4 years now.
have had several ups and downs in the grow and have learned most of what i know right here at the place i call home

if not for folks here helping me out then i dont think i would have stuck with growing.
Learning together with this community has brought great joys to my life. i consider my self a hobby grower and a self medication kinda guy.
the more i read into the subject of cannabis the more of a nerd i become for it.

besides the sacred plant, i also enjoy a bit of fishing, love cooking, video game nerd, and ill watch subbed anime all day long stoned to the bone like a high school kid.
(always down to talk anime/video games)
also a father of two teenage girls and an 8 month old boy with my wife. the two teenagers are free to a good home....... lol i kid, i love em all dearly even if they make me smoke an extra doob nearly daily!!


i have 2 grow spaces that i will be using. a big room and a much smaller space.

ill cover the two grow spaces and get some pics up after dinner and a smoke.


in the mean time ill round up some friends to join in.

trimmed up the last bit of the kush auto from female seeds. was a runt but was a fat frosty gal.

some super nice buds. high quality!!!

now that i have caught a good buzz. here is the start to my open book!


lets start
nutes and additives/mediums/grow equipment.

nutes and additives. i have tried so much shit. spent a few years growing with out really even knowing what exactly the plants require how much and when. still learning, so the rabbit hole has led me to try these
the jacks 3-2-1 blend with a few additives.

so the jacks 321 is 3 bags of water soluble nutrients and the 3 2 1 is actually the ratio. 3 grams 2 grams 1 gram per gallon.

first bag also the "3" is the main bulk of all the main nutrients

second bag is calcium nitrate "2"

third bag is epsom salt aka magnesium sulfate "1"

i really liked the idea of separating the calcium and magnesium since i have had a few issues with 1 or the other at different times. hit hard this last grow. so being able to add more of one and not the other is nice.
there is some cal and mag in the main bag but the extra is needed.

additives
mpk -mono potassium phosphate (bloom additive)
fulvic acid
recharge
and tribus

doing an out of pocket test on all of the above nutes and additives. have been on quarter ish strength for about a week now on all of those mentioned.

mediums and containers

medium for now is fox farms ocean forest. i may try something different soon. maybe do a side by side with some clones or something.
containers are autopots 3.9 gal pots.
diy airdomes
1 diy reservoir


little room

the little room is actually just a stand in shower. 32x32 space.
using this space to run out a scrog with a skunk special fem photo under a platinum p300.
really hoping for that fresh road kill skunk pheno on this 1

Penelope is about 9 days old and transplanted 2 days ago into the autopot
at about day 5 she started to get a little def so i transplanted her and started her on 1/4 strength of everything.
just about 500 ppms
ph starts around 6.3 and raises to about 6.6 naturally over a few days before i change the res or lower the ph back down.
temps are in the mid 70's and rH is low 50%'s
so far she is set up for success!!

she will be growing up into a 2 trellis set up 3.5 inch squares
if you look real close you can see the little rust spots on the 1 finger leaves, seems like she is really happy now that she is on the new nutes and transplanted

since i had a picture cap ill be back with the big room post in a few!

and now the big room! (its present state)

the big room is currently about 4x6

i have an scrogged area apx 3x4 ish with 2 bruce banner clones that are now on day 7 of flower

a little run down. the clones ended up getting really hungry for some iron so i had to battle an iron def and on the tail end of winning that war.
also half of my inspiration for looking for new nutrients.
the plants responded to the foliar treatments very well and are just blowing up since getting put on the new nutes and getting flipped.

by far the healthiest they have looked since i got them
a quick rewind to when i got them.
they were just barely rooted and also cut from a mom who was stressed out and in preflower, who ALSO got knocked up by immature boy who shot his pollen all over during veg.
so the clones literally had seeds growing in calyx's and looked pretty rough from the start.
i was determined. so i pressed on.

clipped a copy off of the 3rd one i had "donated to a friend in need" just in case these ladies turn out to be some funky stank dank

the plan is to get these ladies across the finish line and then i am going to upgrade and remodel the big room!

currently a 4x6 area of usable space. a large cabinet thats busted down and some really bad 2x4/plywood shelving that was installed in the room prior to moving in. "was a master bathroom converted to a large storage room"

so first thing ill do is rip out all the shit shelving and cabinet. and then i am going to put up some new walls/ceiling with some insulation n such. rocking with drywall now and you cant hang shit or screw in trellis hooks into the walls
so ill upgrade to something a bit more durable. maybe Masonite board or other paneling. something easy to cover with panda film or paint.

i also want to make a raised floor in the room. about 2 foot up. for under storage space and also to raise my work area up some to make things easier on my back when trellis training and during the hand water phases.

i plan to get that shit done as quick as possible, not trying to have the big room down for any longer than it has to be.
after i get the room done or during renovations ill also be building a custom diy led strip build for the big room.
depending on where i am with my budget after that i may also be investing into a few controllers to automate temps and rH
and automate my big room the best i can.
hoping to knock out the big room as soon as the bruce sisters chopped down and only be down for a week.

the big room will be my main focus coming up so i may start pitching ideas and blueprints soon.
