Indoor gRoshi's 2020 megathread

fortunately its the same area and not a whole lot more power "maybe even less"
the electrician questions are more about wiring up sockets. And then i may end up with some more wiring questions when i build my new light
area i am using is not big. nothing commercial lol.
looking like my final grow area will be apx 50"x78"x7' but ill definitely check my breakers and make sure i have enough juice.
i have an empty housing in the ceiling of the room with capped wires that i think i can convert into an outlet for the light and fan/filter.
and if i can do that and make my plugs go there then they will be nice and cleanly tucked up and out of the way
good idea, 4 gang ceiling receptacle. Lighting circuits usually at least on a 15 amp breaker. That's a lot of lights @110/120v, up to 1800 watt neighborhood.

went and snapped a few pics.
there is also a ceiling light in that room, if can be removed and converted into an outlet as well that would be cool.
here is the light and the housing i was talking about

and now that i am looking at the photo. should i be concerned with the bare copper in the housing??
never noticed until now

Typical house wiring, 2 insulated conductors and a bare ground wire. The light can be converted to receptacle.

nice so both are options for outlets!
sweet action.
nearly done with my blueprints. and for being a guy thats not artistically talented, i think i have something nice going here!
and looking at the layout visually on paper makes me really excited.

yellow lines are the light

the area with the rh and temp up n downs
that is the free space where the grow shelf is stopped short of.
also storage space under the grow shelf

here is the 3D'ish look with the layout

forgive the handwriting and the messy artwork
but i am quite proud of me prints haha. overly exceeded my own expectations

grow table will be 50x77 and about 7 ft of head space.
light will be a 68 inch spine with 12 4ft led strips spaced out evenly
just under 37 watts per square foot on the grow table with very quality lighting and the footprint is just stellar

and best news of all
the wife APPROVED my budget for the rebuild! so what ever i have left over gets to go towards some beans that i have been slobbering over
thanks to @Ripper

cheers family!
