Dutch Passion Groff Labs: AutoWhite Widow & Think Different, 20L Coco & SOL 9 LED

Hey Dogs!

I wouldn't know how to answer that to be honest. First time using this light, first time doing AWW & TD too :WTF: Have no bases for comparison. But I would say genetics play a far more important role than the light itself. Being LED, plants in general become more compact than under other lighting systems.

Good info, ty. I stuck a AWW in a friend's 4x4 room about 2 weeks ago. I got those and some Auto #1 at the same time, and went with the #1 as my first semi-stealth cab grow based on it's purported short stature and low odor. Now between you and Si's monster (which he says REEKS) I'm glad I did.

Si ... ? Who that?

Never ever heard of him :smoke:

My girls are a fair bit behind from fellow AWW'ers... What I find really cool is how much the smell changes from day. Today the TD smelt a bit like gasoline (seriously!) while the AWW were all fruity and fresh... Still not getting hit in the face with stentch as I open the tent, but its a bit early for that.

edit: BTW, love your 8bit avatar!

Thrips!

Bloody buggering little bastards... I have quite an infestation coming from the other side of my house, never thought it would spread this far. Long session inspecting the plants, damage does not seem too bad right now. I went out and bought a spray and very very carefully went through avoiding the buds... thrips dont seem to like sugar leafs and buds it seems... Also seem to prefer lower leaves.

Anyway, I know its not ideal to do this in flowering, but I couldn't help myself, flowering has just started and I was very very careful and did not just spray the stuff all over. This should stop the spread completely, if it doesn't I'll just let them go as we're not too far off from harvest. I freaked because in my other tent the plants got really hammered.

Stretch has not stopped! I think all but this auto white widow are done going up. I just let them rip, thinking the proximity to the light might hinder them... not a chance!

This was yesterday...

This is today.... And officially 1.60m from the floor.

No light bleaching thus far...

BTW, I decided to go pk week. Mixed 1.5ml/L and prepped the rest to make an EC of 1.6, slightly lower. pH is also entering the 6.2 mark.

Hopefully, they will munch on this with a smile.

sorry to here about the bugs funny thin is i had them ages ago but thought they were harmless little fruit flys or sumet lol not seen any for ages lol

Lol they really like that light, look at them grab at it! I can just see them engulfing and eating it. I'm really baked atm:WTF:

Those are going to be some nice fat colas groff!!! Can't wait to see how the Sol 9 does

Plants are looking great! Sorry about the bug problem, hopefully you can get that sorted before there is any real damage.

I only just got them, so only really looked into thrips now. If they come on early veg they can really hammer on a plant if you let them go. White/silver spots and trails are the sign.
If it starts in flower, its not so bad. Obviously, depending on the infestation. I caught it on pretty soon, but was developing pretty damn fast. I managed to source out a systemic pesticide that is guaranteed to be below toxic levels under 3 applications. I'll only be applying one.

I hate pesticides. Next on the top of my homework list... prevention methods!

hahaha! I was experimenting fitting an Ms006 in there too the other day for my next grow which is going to be even more super-awesome loool... and side by side is how you can really tell. The spread and light blend on the Sol 9 is simply amazing. I was also experimenting on building a DIY light mover for the tent... complete fail loool...

May your words resonate my stomata to open!

I think it has my friend... maybe a bit early, but haven't seen a live bug so far. Now that I can spot them effortlessly I can see there were dozens and dozens of them ...

Day 75

Another quirk sorted out. Advanced Nutrients Carboload is a piece of sh!t. I've had it with AN. Not only the rez became cloudy, pH started rising like crazy every 24h. EC dropping too. After some time salt were depositing everywhere, had a bad time cleaning my pH and EC meters, they had solid, and I mean real solid yellowish dry cement style crap all over, pumps, cords... Had to srcub hard to get it out, to the point I feared breaking the probes. But the plants are ok, a few leaves complaining, but all good.

Decided to do another pk week. Calyxes bursting everywhere. I tried a neat little trick that made me love Canna evenmore... I'm sure it works with others too, but I'm def sticking to full Canna range from now on, except for cal mag which I really do need and works fine.

Canna suggest 1.5ml/L of pk, so to get my 1.6-1.7 EC right away I divided 1.5ml/2 = 0.75.Then I subtract to the 2ml/L of both A&B, so thats 2-0.75= 1.25.
Bang on the mark.

Cal Mag 0.5ml/L
pk 1.5ml/L
Canna A&B 1.25ml/L
Cannazym 2ml/L
Rhizo 0.5ml

Light bleach on both tops that are crazy near the light

Here you can see the other angle into the tent and some side shoots trying to escape

It seems I'm still in for about, errr.. 3 weeks...?

Looking good bro id say a few more weeks too she going to fill out nicely :smokebuds:
