Hi All
Have been lurking for a while and have finally gotten around to posting.
I am currently growing 4 auto's in 5l pots.
2X Afghan Kush Ryder's and 2X 60 Day wonder's
Doing them indoor,in organic soil mix under 240w mixed spectrum cfl's

Have learnt a lot from the site already,looking forward to learning a lot more
I am interested in breeding the afghans but may put it off unti i buy reg auto's. hermie'ing an fem seeds may not be greatest nor easiest breed..anyhow,threads to follow

Thanks SquidHerb,great to have a resource like this to focus my hyperactive brain on,weed in all its forms calms me,even literature
have done a few photo grows previously and have recently delved into the world of auto's.
Breeding is my ultimate goal but as mentioned i have far to go and have a lot to learn on that front
I have recently discovered that genetics comes alive when applied to a subject dear to your heart and have jumped in head first.
As it stands i have a reg AK/Thai F1 X Nirvana Masterkush seed run about 2 weeks into development,so the fem auto's i have can be for yield only.
I was looking at think different as a follow up strain but dont find reg beans around.
will do a direct cross F1 on the strain for seed,regrow a few parent seeds and F1 ,pick a pheno i want and "back" cross,naturally if possible but i can whip up a colloidal silver generator if needed.
will post a grow log,bit pissed that it just wiped my page long post due to too many pic links.
got to build up my posts first i spose

Fresh start! I hope for the best man. That being said you can cross fem seeds for your own stock and might not have many problems, but you wouldn't wanna work them into a new cross that you want to make and call your own.

true,but unfortunately i have no parent to back cross with
unless i figure out root cloning soon i will have to either pollinate with a reg big bud i have a cutting of or force the afghan to hermie.
self pollination will yield scary percentages being fem hermie pollenXfem hermie plant,but then again they are XX flowers producing XX pollen?
colloidal does not alter the plant genetically does it?
but anyway,it easier to get a pack of ten reg auto seeds,germ 4 breed them,germ 4 more and crossbreed,keeping 2 for failsafes.

Self pollination should never be done. But you can hermie the female and take his-her pollen and pollenate another female to get fems seeds. Hermie by the use of cs, and no I do not believe that it changes the genetics at all, as far as I know that's the best way to make fem seeds.
