DAY 27
Gas lantern routine seeems to be working well,no issues noted

Healthy ladies,one topped,one fimmed,both LST'd.
AKR deinately taking better to the LST than the 60 day.

Some nice regrowth since topping on 05/05

Not much new growth from the mini AKR,but its growing.
expecting a single solid bud the size of my hand,but not much more,may pollinate with some Nirvana MK pollen,just for the hell of it.
what would happen if i pollinated a fem plant with hermie pollen from the same strains fem sister

Nice mantis! What are theadvantages to the 12/1 lighting schedule?

INH,GLR or 12/1 is a very debateable method,especially for Auto's.
essentially running 12 on 5.5 off,1 on 5.5 off fools the plant into vegging on the absolute minimum light hours,the hour on period breaks the 12 hour dark cycle needed for flowering and adds an hours photosynthesis obviously.
Basically gives it two dark cycles.
How this applies to auto's i dont know,i think my improvements are more from a longer repairative dark period than the actuall schedule.
I am sure that a straight 13 or 14 hr cycle would accomplish the same.
I asked the question,didnt find the right answer,so im creating one

Thanks for the mantis comment,you have no idea how tricky macro shots are when the mantis,the cab and the plant are moving independantly
(my lightshield fan and my finger had a dissagreement,pity fan blades dont heal as easily as fingernails,broke 2 fins,so it vibrates like crazy,additionally i have pretty strong circulation in the cab)

Its a real pity i didnt find this site before i ordered my seeds.
by no means regretting the AKR,but would love some AFN strains.
not to mention how nice some automazar would go down in that cab

yup,survives happily on moths and whatever else i catch for her(which isnt difficult in a nature conservancy)
They gain most of their water from prey,but its the coolest thing on the planet to have a mantis,sitting on your thumb,drinking a water droplet off your fingernail.
Try as i may i couldnt get that photo unfortunately.
as mentioned she is comfortable enough to have laid eggs there,and she is by no means trapped,i have at least 2 gaps in sisalation for adjustable circulation fans,she could easily have left.
Takes out anything that gets into my cab,successfully eradicated white fly on a previous photo grow after failed pesticide runs.
I quote a webpage i found recently "they will eat anything that wont eat them"

PIC UPDATE
day 29:

Ladies dont seem to like the topping and fimming,i think i left it too late,gratned i now have 2 bud sites,vertical growth looks to have stopped.
A molasses feed last night has seen pistils shoot out everywhere on the 2 biggest Auto's and my reg AK/Thai's too

Little one still going strong,not sure what to expect here?

This 60 day is responding beautifully to the topping and has her second set of leaves on each new growth tip,as well as at least 3cm of new growth from lower tips

topping too llate isnt useless,it creates 2 main buds

Some updates,plenty of growth seen of late.
molasses feed yesterday morning,looking lekker.
have been putting them on the windowsill for extra light during the day,then 13 hours in the cab.
I think its safe to say 12/1 is not ideal for auto's,especially not pre stunted ones

Since topping on 5/5 growth has exploded,almost cant believe its the same plant!
