New Grower Gratefully green husband

Bro for your first grow, I'm really not sure why your trying make things so hard on yourself... Most new growers would try to make things as easy on themselves as possible and honestly I think you should be doing the same...The problem is not being experienced and your attempting things that are not easy to achieve & balance out for a new grower...Like the co2 for instance it would been much easier to control environment with an open tent vs a sealed w/co2..Then next would be picking an easy medium to use then basically doing your best to get them plants start to finish without having to chase your tail, I kinda said it would be a bit more challenging and I didn't think the best option for your first grow... I'm not being negative or anything, I'm just not sure why you didn't try take the easier road for your first grow... I hope you consider this constructive criticism I really think it's more important for new growers to take the easiest route possible, so they can get a good feeling for how things work and things like that... then in a grow or two no problem if you want start mixing things up a bit...:smokeout:

also I don't know how much you should go up in what your using, first that don't act like coco/hydro so I hope your not over-watering by giving so often..Next it will take more time in soil then say hydro/coco to try to correct this issue and I wonder if giving plain water not long after giving a calmag dose, that you may be washing some right out and leaving much less for the plant...again I don't know that medium your using but I thought about that after reading your message... in coco for instance you'd give at every feeding and coco can't be over-watered like soil can plus soil retains things & coco does not...just some things to think about...I really wish I could help more but I use coco and thats all I know about, anything i used to do with soil I long forgotten since I'd never use that for my medium ever since the switch to coco...:karmacloud::vibes:
Thanks @Unique I'm taking notes and will evaluate everything after this grow, successful or not. The WCOG has had it rough from the beginning and probably should never have made it this far. I made adjustments to the grow medium and the OKG's are the result, so far so good with them, so I'm not stressing or disappointed with the results so far. Hopefully, I'm doing something right, only the results will tell. The OKG's are doing well. The grow environment is stable, temperature fluctuates slightly through out the day between 78 and 84 F, dehumidifier is set at 55 and keeps the room close to it and I just lowered it to 50 to aid in flowering without hurting the OKG. The CO2 regulator cycles on and off 6 times/day for 4 minutes every 3 hours for a total of 24 minutes in a 20 hour period. The CO2 levels range from 1600 to 900 ppm lights on and goes as low as 500-600 lights off. I started using Botanicare CalMag+ at 2 ml/gal which is the seedling dose. Do you think I should use more with every watering? :pass:

The easiest way ive found personally is organic soil and dry amendments. Nutrient burn isnt impossible but highly unlikely. And watering made easy by lifting the pot and feeling the weight. Check out my 315 cmh grow. I need a simple easy grow that doesnt take more than 30 mins to an hour every day or 2. Ive got job and kids and dont have time to really super watch them. Everything takes a lil longer in organics, which includes nutrient problems. So its fairly difficult NOT to get to harvest. My first organic grow i did 1 topdress of nutes a month and pulled 2o per plant. Now i do every 2 weeks and have been pulling 80 to 100g per plant. Again, not trying super hard and i just throw a pinch of this and that in. No super accurate measuring needed. I dont even need to ph (tho some better growers still swear by it)

You still have my full support for this one and all further grows whether you go organic or not.

Appreciate it @Hypathetical Gardener That's all I'm doing, lift the pot and water when it's light. Right now, about a half gallon every 2 days, I never have any run off. My water always pH's at 7.5 so I add 8 drops /gallon and I'm at 6.5 +/- 0.1. I thought I've made everything pretty easy. The WCOG is a result of my 1st try with the coco. The OKGs are my 2nd mix and are doing much better. A little CalMag for LEDs and Coco was bound to happen from everything I've read. I just didn't know what it was going to look like or whether it was going to affect the plants or not. Some days I only have a few minutes to care for them before and after work before I pass out. :peace:

i start at 0.5ml/l couple of weeks 1ml/l if the plant gets big 1.5ml of calmag.
i have to agree with Mañ'O'Green and Unique on the keep it stupid simple, less is more, and my favorite the less you do the less can go wrong.i use biobizz soil and nutes spend no more than 15mins a day in the cupboard.
i wouldnt stress out over the wcog it is what it is,just get it to the finish line,3 outa 4 aint bad  and canna is quite hard to kill by accident :smokeit:its been a bit of an odd grow a mix of 2 styles,it has confused a lot of us,and caught us out a time or two.you could stick at it and make it work.i wouldnt change very much, infact id just change one thing either swap coco for soil or swap dry nutes for coco specific nutes.
good luck n keep er lit.

Here's a quote from Read Spear's book, Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered, I find he has a good way of saying things:

My Shortcut Method for Non-Pathogen-Related Disease

Look at the whole plant. If it has spotted leaves (and there are no bugs or molds), it is probably either over-fed or the pH is too low. If it has chlorotic leaves at the top of the plant, add micro nutrients. If it has chlorotic leaves at the bottom of the plant and the chlorosis is progressing upward, add macro nutrients (N especially). It’s that simple most of the time.

I was thinking along those lines. OR I could try a 30% soil / 60% coco mix OR...… I'll get through this grow and evaluate. Thanks again @archie gemmill :pass:

That's about as simple as it gets. It also means that I need to add macro nutes (N especially). Thanks @pop22 :peace:

That there is the wisdom that comes from doing it.

End of week 5, Day 35 update for the Sensible Seeds OG Kush. They seem to be doing good and they may have started flowering. Everyone got a top dressing with 3 oz of amendments and 2 ml/gal of calmag. After all the issues with the WCOG I thought it might be best to supplement now. So far so good.

I forgot all the details of your grow, as far as medium and nutes. But your girls look hungry to me!
