OK so I'm really medicated right now and maybe this is a dumb idea. but hear me out.

Concept - So we know that the bigger the root system the bigger better more potent Yeild you get. So my thinking is. What if you can give a plant TWO root systems. That's double the intake which in theory will double your yield.
What do you mean by grafting for 2 root system?

Grafting is the technique of taking 2 plants and making them into one plant. In the legal cannabis world this is great for people who are limited to plant number. So say you like 5-6 strains but can only have 12 plants in my instance. Well you can take the 5 strains and put them on one plant and veg it out and clone as you would any other mother. except this mother has 8 different strains on her.

Now in this concept you remove A branch like a clone and combine it to the branch of the mother you want to graft her on. In doing this you remove both root systems.

Approach Grafting

Approach grafting is where you take 2 whole plants. Make a small cut half way through in the middle of main stalk towards the bottom belowe the leafs and you combined the 2 cuts from each plant together and tie them together like an x. when done you'll have two tops and two root systmes. after a week you cut one of the root systems of so that the plant has one root system with 2 tops. of 2 dif plants.

Grafting For Two Root Systems.

There are no videos or research that i have found of a plant with 2 root system so this is just what I WOULD DO. And will try this next grow with one of the ladies.

First take a look at the video above on Approach Grafting. You will notice that the plants will look like an x with two tops and two root systems. Well after one week or 2 you would normally remove the second root system and keep both tops.

In our method after a week you want to cut off the second top. This way instead of both root systems growing out 2 plant you'll have two root systems growing out 1 plant.

Any comments welcome.

This is a very intriguing idea, I think you should definately try it on a photo strain first. Do you think grafting an auto would stunt it's growth?

I'd say no as for two reasons.

1) I had a sick plant...i mean she was basicly dead and i was going to kill her. so just out of anger i grabed her and snaped the main stalk in half. quickly i felt sad and i decided to streighten her up and tie that section back togehter real tight. and after 2 weeks she grew back together and has never been more healthy in fact she was a runt and now she is the same size as some of her was once bigger better sisters. i think the shock kicked her in the ass...

2) it only take 5-7 days for the area to heal (i would recommend keeping the bandage on for a few longer days. then as soon as the it starts to feed off of the two root systems i think the second rooting will compinsate for the stress and overall will be fine.

I'd also like to add another section to this idea.

Why wouldn't you just grow both plants out?
For the number game - meaning like me in Michigan I can grow 12 plants for me and 12 plants each for 5 patients. for a total of 72 plants. Assuming i had 5 patients which i don't. so i'm limited to numbers. So instead of going over my numbers i can take the root system of one plant i need to get rid of and add it to another similar sized plant in hopes of getting a bigger yield.
