Hello all! :bighug:
This is my first auto grow. Posted in the infirmary to see if my little ones were ok and figured I would start them a journal.

I have 2 Gorilla Glue Autos from Growers Choice Seeds.

They are at Day 5 now. I have them in Promix BX with no additives. They are under a 400w MH dimmed to 50%. It is 2ft above them. I have only given them RO water. Any input will be greatly appreciated. I really want to give them a good go :)

I'm in, good luck.

Thanks so much. In my post in infirmary, Hush Hush gave me feedback and let me know they look good. I dont have any experience with Promix BX, although I have done some extensive reading. Info is very slim with autos and promix, should I be supplying a very low dose of calmag to them because of the RO water or should I wait?

hi and welcome :pass:promix bx is soil ? they look fine for 5 days and wont need much more than a drink of water.if its coco then you have a lot more reading to do.
good luck n keep er lit.

Like Archie said, they will probably only need water first 1-2 weeks. Promix bx looks like soil for seedlings/small plants. Their website did not offer much info on nutrient levels, so i would read the info on the bag.

Also loving the fact that it has added mycorrhizae! Make sure to take some photos of the roots if you can. Would love to see some results as i'm planning on adding it to my own grow. Some sellers say it can increase root mass by 700%!

Good luck!

As @archie gemmill said they look about right, 2nd set of leaves coming in but all the action is below ground right now, in the roots.

I use mycorrhizae all the time, a small scoop just below each seed. A small bag cost 5 and I have half left after 20 plus grows. Great for plant health.

Niiice.
Do you have any pics of the rootsystem after harvest? Rootporn is just as good as budporn :eyebrows:
Also, i have read about different methods for applying it to a plant already in a pot, but do you have any recommendations?

Sorry for going off track here, jh573561 :pass:

Promoix is great. I've been using it for a couple years. I prefer the HP as apposed to the BX, the only difference being, HP (high porosity) has more perlite. Promix is not soil, it is a "soiless" medium, meaning, it lacks nutrients. Therefore, you will have complete control of all food given. There is enough food in the seed itself to feed up to 2 weeks. I start a light feed, 1/4 recommended dose @ day 10, increasing gradually until full dosage, around day 35-40, depending how she responds.
I'm not too familiar with HPS but I would think you may wanna raise the light a bit more. Let the stretch happen and lower accordingly. I find it's always better to err on the side of, too high, rather than too low.
I'll tag along and would be happy to help, if needed.
Good luck!!!
