If mars is still sold at hydro stores etc, they can't really be undercutting their retailers with a big discount with their online store.

I'd wait until Black Friday for any kind of significant sale prices that are in the double digits. For Mars lights or any other products.

Also....why not the "ECO Series"? Is the Eco Series not have enough profit margin built in to handle 3%?

ECO is beginner's light, it's cheap that can make some beginners afford. you are right, Eco Series not have enough profit margin built in to handle 3%, ECO is our sale promotion products, the profit is very low

In all honesty, I laughed when I saw the 3% figure. That is not much to get excited about.

In normal, we only can provide 3% discount, and all the coupon code on our website only have 3% discount, but we also will do sale promotion sometimes, like live show on 20th every month, there will have 10% discount.

When vendors are offering 50% off as was the case this past long weekend @ True North Seeds, 3% is certainly laughable.

I love 50% discount too, especially when I purchase clothes, shoes and bag. But if we give a 50% discount on LED lights, I think it's very difficult, because then our company will go bankrupt. lol
I've seen some Amazon or eBay Led lights with a 50% discount or even 80% discount, but they tend to put a high price tag on them. If they were the same price before the promotions, then you can imagine how profitable they are. I don't think the price-performance ratio of these products is high.

I have to add, I reckon I could get a better discount walking in off the street if we were talking a bit of money eh? I still don’t quite understand the 3% discount.[emoji848][emoji106]

Nuggets- you could probably do better than 3% buying from a retail shop by just asking nicely. Lol. No offense to Mars but I find a “3%” more of a turn off than a turn on. Especially when they follow it with a statement like, ‘watch our non-AFN event and ...then... we’ll give you 10% off!’ Lol! If that’s all they think of the AFN market, or can’t afford more than that, I think they deserve to keep that 3%. Apparently, they’re even more in need of it than I am. Looks like I’ll be going with the DIY light kit I was eyeballing after all. Lol!

I’m about to buy a complete 5x5 indoor grow setup in the next day or two. I got all excited when I saw this thread. *insert let-down music here* Coulda had a big chunk of that budget but......nah, I think I can do better.
