Need to get my incubator up an going again. Wonder if I put some water in my rez, not in use right now, a airstone and a heater and use that as my incubator. Hummmm
Hey go,
What's the temp range for fruiting again? 68-75 humid as hell?
I forgot I was still doing this too. So the l.c from the 11 month old spores looks great. The pf tek or brf cakes, from old weird looking l.c, are slowly colonizing. I should probably move them to a bit warmer area. I'll do that tonight.
Guys today is day 8 and I've got NOTHING happening in my jars. . Been incubating at about 85*F
Ok I'll give it another week to see, but generally I should have seen something by now I would have thought. Maybe I messed up noc'ing by killing the spores in the needle with the flame sterilization. The plus is I don't see any BAD stuff growing in there either.
Alright so the question is if I don't see white fuzz by next week, did I just ruin my substrate jars? Or if there's nothing growing do you think I could attempt to re-noc the same jars?
If it were me.....
I would back the heat off to closer to 80 also, you my friend used spores. They, from my readings, can take quite a bit longer. Keep in mind that as the mycilum grows it outs off heat. The core maybe hotter then the ouside air temp. will be hotter.
Make sure you shack the living b cheese us out of the syringe before nocing. Helps to distribute the spores with each squirt. now if you make l.c you won't have to worry if some don't take or they die/whatever. You'll have tons more.
