I have a 2x2 with one AF in it right now. My tent is set up so that the right side has a top and bottom (2x2 also). I would like to get a second light and only isolate the bottom of the right side, giving me a 2x4 total footprint with the right side elevated about 2.5 feet.

I am looking for a second light and right now I think I have it narrowed to:

1) Maxisun PB1500
2) Viparspectra P1500

However, the newcomer in the consideration is the HLG 100 V2.

Anyone have experience or recommendations for my second sun?

I think an AutoCob is an excellent choice for this situation. The CobShop for the win!
I'm considering upgrading to a 3x3 or 4x4 tent. Currently I possess 2 autocobs. How would you proceed to light a 3x3 or 4x4 tent. ( 4 autocobs in 3x3, 5 autocobs in 4x4, or a combo of autocobs & another LED (example please)).

Hey @Big Sul what's up! I would get the biggest tent your wife or space allows. If 4x4 then I would look into a grow light fixture with a 2x4 or 4x4 foot print. You have the two autocobs that give you height variation coverage. Buy the best light you can afford. I am well pleased with my Chilled Growcraft lights but they are expensive. Mars Hydro has some good lights at reasonable prices. If you can wait the 420 sales can have good deals.

Thx man. Ive got the green light from wife to do what I need to do. I'm growing for her and a friend w/cerebral palsy, and of course for me while I walk and listen to PHISH. what are ur thoughts about adding autocobs? Four corners and 1 in the middle. That would equate to 1.25 autocobs per plant on a 4 autopot Grow. I'm not ready to drop BIG coin but I do want quality/value. 3 more autocobs won't be cheap, so I'm looking for a good light in the $2-300 range. Also, how would I arrange the lights. Put 2 autocobs on each side of whatever light is in the middle?

Cobs or Quantum boards.

Personally, I don't buy Mars Hydro or Spider Farmer. But others do. I use my cobs as secondary lighting, if needed. But they are about as good as Quantum board lighting.

Not knowing your budget I'd opt for Quantum boards you can self assemble....or if u indeed want a 4 x 4 or bigger Id get an HLG fixture or Timberland........Amare also has nice lights.
