Hey there, everyone! Glad to meet ya, and thanks for viewing!
This is my second venture into growing autos, or any type of cannabis plant for that matter. My first grow was about three years ago, blue pyramid and auto blueberry. Great experience! I got about four ounces dried out of that one. I've since moved and decided to try again. I had eight leftover seeds from before the move, but only one made it through germination, most likely because of poor storage. It's either of the two aforementioned strains, but I can't be sure. I'm growing this one in a spare closet, and for a learning experience, until my new seeds get here and I go from there. Anywho...here are my conditions, and what I have to work with.
Soil is Ocean Forest in a 5 gallon home depot bucket. I know OF is hit or miss these days, especially when used on its own, but it was free in a giveaway and I'm on a tight budget. I plan on using grow big and big bloom when the time comes, and I added some mycorrhizae in the soil like I did last time around. Other than that just molasses later on I think, maybe cal mag as well as it's got a great reputation but I've not used it.
Right now it's at day 8-10 (I think...lost track of when I planted the seed after germination because of covid-19 and work issues). It's growing under two 105w 5000k cfls and looks happy. When it hits veg I'm planning on switching the cfls out for a mars t600 I got on the cheap. Full spectrum, but no switch, so I went with cfls to start and get me to veg. Temp is between 75 and 80 with 50-55% humidity and 7.0 ph.
I have an oscillating fan for air circulation, and a clip fan for the cfls to keep them cool above the seedling. I've been misting the top a few times a day around the plant for 8-10 or however many days after it popped its leaves out. Today I poured about 3oz of water around the base of the plant for its first actual watering. I didn't soak the pot before planting because I didn't last time, and it worked out really well for me. Next month I'll probably soak it before planting the germinated seeds, as it seems the norm around here. I'll be updating every few days, thanks for viewing, and I appreciate any and all feedback
