Hi guys I popped 2 seeds in rootit cubes Sunday morning (pic below) and when I checked this morning before leaving house one of them had made its way about 1 inch above the surface of cube and the other is showing tap root but hasn’t made its way above the surface yet.

I left the house this morning without switching the grow light on my question is would this hamper the growth of the seedling that has broke the surface and is searching for light or will all be well once I get home this evening and switch light on?

Thanks for the reassurance man. I have to say Barneys seeds are impressive I have only popped 3 in total thus far and all germinated rapidly. This one within 3 days from being popped into the cube and its more than an inch above the ground already.

Should be all good man the cob led keeps the growth seriously compact so shouldn’t have to worry about the stretch.

If it's your 1st time with seeds it's a scary few days anyhow keep me posted you can tag people with this in front of there name @

Will do going to pop up a diary tomorrow. This is my second grow been lucky so far all seeds have made it.

Here’s the little girls both have their helmets still on nervous times :eek1: Thinking now that I should have soaked seeds first before sticking in rootit cubes that’s what the excitement will do to ya

@St. Tom The little ladies are now in their final pots had to remove the seed casing off the zkittles og. I also had to remove the seed shell and then the membrane off the daquiri lime it was nerve wrecking but no damage to the little leaves on either and looking good.

Well done brother I never soak seeds just direct into a root riot also removing the case can be nerve wracking but I feel the awkward stage is over now so onwards and upwards growbro

Glad it worked out. Next time try planting them a bit deeper, like a pinky knuckle deep and keep the surface of the soil moist with a sprayer. No more seed shells sticking on. Works for me anyway.

Yeah, Ive tried multiple methods recently and not seen much difference in speed at all, whether in paper towel, glass of water or direct to soil. Its quite stressful having to handle them from tissue paper or a glass of water. Jump throw em in the soil imo.
