Indoor Frogster Autopot "Zamnesia" Grow

Day 54

With all the excitement going on, and my new promotion, it's been a few pages since I have posted an update here....

Due to the size and fullness of the plants and the weather not being the best (although we have some sun today), I have decided to leave the plants in the tent and take some photos with a bit of flash. The colours will be off a tad because of that.

I don't anticipate an opportunity to get them out for more "natural light" photos before Harvest.

Both The Amnesia Haze's are getting very close to time..... I can see that plant [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] may well be harvested before the end of the week. Trics are going mad, and turning just where I want her regards to milky/cloudy. The second one will follow a few days later.

The other Amnesia Haze is less accessible for a in tent pic, but you get the idea, she is only a few days behind the other and looks like she will be ready about next weekend.

The Caramel is doing nicely, she looks to be another week at least, maybe going into two weeks before her time, I will re-evaluate her towards the end of the week.

When the other two plants (Amnesia Haze) are out of the tent I may give her a blast of extra light wattage to finish her off.

Back later...... Cheers all.
Your plants look wonderful @Frogster !!

Thanks all.... much appreciated.

One of my ladies is ready, so she has been programmed for a Thursday harvest..... watch this space, with luck (and E-Bay delivers on time) I may have a new toy to help with the trimming task.

Oh...... and if you have been living in a cave, you may not have seen this...... >>> AFN FESTIVE COMPETITION <<< some fantastic prizes up for grabs !

Guys & Gals, Something I haven't yet talked about (in much depth) and may interest you, is the nutrient line that I use.

It's not one you will see on store shelves everyday..... So I decided to appraise them for you here.

However, Once I started doing that, I decided that it was worthy of a place in the AFN Ferts Review Section..... so I ended up posting it there.

Please take a look and let me know what you think. >>> Click Here <<<

Day 57

Harvest day for the first Amnesia Haze.... only 57 Days from germ to harvest.... very impressive.

I grabbed her out of the tent and took the following photo, this is how she has looked in the tent, some leaf defoliation has been taking place over the last few weeks, to open up shaded bud sites.

She looks very healthy, sticky, smelly, and surprisingly easy to rough trim whilst still on the plant.

Out with the pruning snips and 20 mins later she is looking like this ....

So, now it's time to test out my new toy.... I read a review by @sanguine regarding one of these, it looked good and I decided to buy one and try.....

I purchased the 16" version, with silicone paddles and a metal gearbox, with some snips etc from E-Bay. it has a cutting blade and some other wires (not sure what those are for). I kept the blade attached and worked with that.

Bowl Trimmer.jpg

I normally hang the plant upside down for 3 days to start the dry, then trim, then net dry & cure.... but decided to try a different method for this plant (nothing ventured...).

I snipped a few of the lower buds off to give it a go, popped them in the cutting bowl and turned the handle for about 15 / 20 secs.

Very quick, very easy, and 15 turns of the handle later I had some bud that looked like this.

Amnesia Haze Plant 1 Bud.jpg

If I was hand trimming I would manicure the buds a bit more, but the trics on this plant are very plentiful and cover a lot of the sugar leaves so I will leave them like this and net dry and cure.

There is the potential to save a lot of time, 20 secs to do this, as opposed to maybe 20 mins... So there will always be a bit of trade off.

The trim from the bud (collected in the hash bowl, is prime A1 Hash material.... so what (if anything) you get cut from the bud, will still be used in Hash...

This is just a quick update as I need to finish this plant.

If I have time I will cull the other Amnesia Haze tomorrow... if not the weekend.

Thanks for looking in.

:slap:
Been wanting to try a haze strain for a while so im looking forward to your smoke report.
Glad you like the trimmer- it worth a little extra leaf for the time saved in my eyes too.
Also those spare wire like blades are for trimming dry buds
