Indoor Frogster Autopot "Zamnesia" Grow

Thank you all.... appreciate the interest.... If we have a bit of semi-reasonable weather tomorrow, I am going to try and get the girls out of the tent for a photo call.

The weather forecast is not looking that bad, have to pick the time...

I want to get a few nice pics of them, they are all doing well and looking mighty fine for their age.

Day 48

Well the weather forecast was wrong..... overcast, cold, showers, and windy today.

I tried to get the plants out, but after the first one (Caramel) getting blown about to the point of almost being blown over.... I decided to grab a quick pic and return her to safety.

The other girls will stay where they are and I may just do some tent shots later.

Out for the day, back later.

I know most people ask what camera but even with today's advanced photographic equipment it is still the eye behind the camera that makes the shot. That having been said, great shots and really fantastic plants. I look forward to seeing how this ends.

Day 49

Not much to update today, the weather has continued to frustrate me with regards getting the girls out of the tent for a photo call. I want to play with my new Camera.

So, I practiced on a indoor peace lily (justifying the new camera to the wife). getting the hang of the macro setting.... now to tune in on "depth of field".

Not Canna related, just playing with the camera....

I still hope for a nicer day, to grab some photos of the girls... they are getting to the stage where it is risky to move them about out of the tent, due to their size, another week and they will have to stay put till its time to harvest.

The ambient Humidity is around 90%Rh (measured at air intake) it has been a bit of a struggle keeping it down below 50%, but currently managing with the aid of a dehumidifier to maintain a steady 48%Rh.

I like to lower the Rh when we get to the final weeks, reduces the risk of mould and tightens the buds up. I.M.H.O.

PH is steady at 5.8 but I upped the feed EC to 2.0 for this week, they are hammering the autopots and feeding and drinking loads, no nute burn or deficiencies noticeable, all in all looking very happy plants (I am quietly confident they will produce a bumper harvest).

So, fingers crossed for better weather and a chance to update some pics for you....

Thanks again for the interest.

Day 50

Still not much to update you all on, and still no chance of getting the girls out for their photocall.... but on the plus side, in the tent everything (touch wood) appears to be going and growing just fine.

One of the Amnesia plants is turning, her buds are filling out and trics beginning to go milky... normally I would say she still has about another 14 Days left (my estimation), but the light etc I am hitting them with, it could well be sooner.

Here are a couple of shots of some of her buds.... The colour is way off as the lights were on full over this plant when I took the shot.

She is looking very Healthy.

A good indication to the health of a plant is the condition of her leaves, so as I defoliated her a little while I was in the tent, I took these following shots of a couple of her leaves under normal light.

The colour is good, rich deep & clean, no bites or marks & insect free, tips are near perfect, no sign of nutrient burn or deficiency. She was praying nicely as I snipped them off.

I also trimmed a few lower leaves that were losing their colour as the plant used up what it needed from them. Also it opens the lower plant up, allowing additional circulation of air around the base and stem, this aids in reducing the risk of mould.

An often made "new grower" mistake is to see the following leaf and wrongly diagnose a cal/mag deficiency... It is quiet normal for the lower larger leaves of a plant to do this as it reaches the final stages of it's life, it is another good indicator she is reaching maturity.

I do have a bit of a plan tomorrow, to try and get some more pics for you all..... lets hope it comes together.

Day 51

Finally..... I managed to get them out of the tent, in between showers, and promising them a quick return to the nice warm environment they love and an extra bit of feed.

So.... without further delay and a load of waffle (I think the photos speak for themselves).... Some Photos of three nice and healthy plants....
