Day 70

I was going to chop my other Auto Blackberry Kush last week..... Sorry for the delay, I had to make space for my separate drying tent to be erected.

I have another 3 indoor and two outdoor plants that are gonna be ready soon, so I put her on a flush for a few days, whilst waiting.

Finally all the tents are set up and I am happy.... So, today I chopped the last ABK, she is the sister plant to the one I chopped last week.

Once again, she would have been better had I been around to maintain her, but hey ho.... Holidays are required, never a good time is there.

Anyway... I draged her out the tent & trimmed some leaf before taking some pics....

Looking good, I estimate she will be just a wee-bit heavier than her sister, but can't compare yet as I am drying this one differently (slowly), as a whole plant - upside down for a few days first at 60%RH - then split the branches and drop to 40%RH, and so on.....

Her sister is almost dry, getting crispy outer edges, so I put her into jars today - smoked a little last night, very nice! Her final weight will be about 4 and a half ounces - dry & cured.

Now..... lets talk Autopot root growth...... WOW !

I used Canna Pro soil, with 30% extra perlite, a layer of pebbles (about 2 inches) and an air dome in the bottom of the pot.... loads of air pumped to the roots

Look at the mass of healthy roots.....

Combined with the Nutrients I am using..... It is just plain ridiculously easy.

Tomorrow..... The Auto NightQueen comes under the knife.....

Update on ABK Plant 2:-

She has been drying now for 6 days..... She is now Jared with Boveda 62% Pack to keep Humidity spot on. Will be burping the Jar as required.

What a lovely colour she is turning.

1 day of drying for the ABK Plant, slowly drying in the "Drying Tent"

Temps and RH spot on..... Running a gentle fan and Dehumidifier to achieve my wants... slowly vented out via carbon filter.

This is what she looked like when she was put in the tent.... 20 odd hours ago...

And this is what she looks like now.... As the temps drop and the RH comes down over the next few days (according to my drying plan), she should produce even deeper colours.

As you can see, she is starting to change after just 1 day.

I have never been one to sit still, it's onwards and upwards, putting new things I have learnt into practice on the next grow.

Day 72

The Blackberry Kush has been hanging upside down, slow drying in the drying tent for 2 days now, ... ready for her final trim before the last 2 day net dry, jar and cure.... so snips at the ready.... off we go.

5 Hrs Later...........

She has completed her first part of the dry well, at about 75% dry, the buds will only need another 2 or maybe 3 days net dry and they will be done...

She lost a bit of weight, as to be expected, but I do believe that a two stage slow dry - full plant - upside down, reduces the shrinkage, She is 75% dry and trimmed and weighs 502g I anticipate she will most likely finish at around 380g Dry/Cured.

I bring the RH right down as low as 35-40%Rh to complete the last stage of the dry, my feeling is that it compacts the buds, (all in my humble opinion)

So today I close trimmed her, leaving the occasional little stork on the fatter buds (used in testing readiness later), all the popcorn and trim went into a bag for Bubble Hash (to make later), all good quality trim kept and that is going to be my next project, I already have the equipment.

Anyway... Her weight, as in the pic below...

Close Trimmed Bud = 502g
Quality Trim (for bubble hash) = 228g

And now its time..... time for a brew and some of my last grow... Auto Brooklyn Sunrise, at it's best.... Oh Yea !!!!!

So that's 2 x Auto Blackberry Kush cut and drying or in cure.

Tomorrow it's the Auto NightQueen....

Geeeeeeez @Frogster ... I haven't been able to check in here for a couple days and you bust out the pot!!! And it's pretttttty pot! I like pretty pot!
