I want to take a moment, yet again, to invite anyone to join and have fun with us, but remember it's the newbies who are the competitors. The rest of you are here to help us all and get us going and give us good reference plants!

I'd like to watch, wish i had a gc to play with, but I'll have to settle with what I have. Excited to see the show.

please do join in if you get a gc to play with at some point, my next grow will be a double grape, but if there's enough people, i may just do a second gc

awesome, it is great to have you on board! and the two week window seems to be a good thing too. There's at least a few of us on board and i would imagine others are just not yet posting in here that they will join in.

I was lucky enough to have extra room for a 4x4x6 I could not help myself but lst those girls got wide 4 autos in full bloom filled that tent side to side I had plenty of head space this time I'm going to let them go taller I want to fit more in there. I don't know the cost of local smoke but I feel I got every dime I spent back on my first run which was around 1,000 dollars for everything I'm excited for things to come. I feel I got very lucky my first grow hoping to just keep learning from all of you.

A 4x4x6 is my ideal grow tent size, it could be bigger, but could be a lot smaller too. If i'd get that id do something like 2-3 mars hydro 300's so I can adjust the lights based on the size and height of the plants.
There's an age old adage i agree with and it goes something like this "a thousand dollar investment? You'll make that back in your first run". And you, @SouthernGurl , are a good example of that.

PLUS there is something great about having your own smoke. Where I lived before, you'd have to go out on the streets and back alley ways and hope no one pulled a gun on you and took your money and ran. That happened to me before, and ever since then, I've been very scared to ever get anything from anyone i haven't personally known for a period of time. Luckily dispensaries have come along and with security guards around them, i feel a lot safer to go during the day, get my smoke and go home... But I still prefer my own smoke. And if things go well, I'll have a toof decay ready a month before the gc and then I can perpetual harvest every month.

That is why I chose to do it this way to many bad people to scary I have a 1,000 watt hps I'm happy with it I would love to have many things but I'm blessed with what I have and will treasure it.

That's what I need to learn to do space it so I harvest monthly that's my goal last time I purchased was 1999 it was getting scary then could not imagine going out now. There's so many things I'd love to have for this new hobby I went with 1000 watt hps but due to heat have not run over 600 watts yet. I'm blessed to have gotten what I have and am very happy with my stuff finding afn and such great people. For someone who only gets to go out a couple times a month to doctors all of this has changed my life!

A perpetual grow is the way to go for me also southern , I better get a grow under my belt before my imagination runs away with its self lol but I am torn already between perhaps growing a monster with huge yield or going down the grow lots of smaller plants of different varieties I have seen a few threads where the grower has a smaller starter,nusery space and cycles them through different tents and set ups; a grower called trapper seems to do this very well,, I am unsure yet to how plants take from going from let's say starting off under led,cfl and then getting hit with HP's or cfl to led but I can't see why not,I am also finding this site,people and new hobby very theraputic

many scary people because every one i knew who sold marijuana also sold hard drugs and were always trying to push coke or heroin at me. No thanks for me, i prefer my mmj and that's it. I don't even drink, just the pot.

i went with an LED because of the power consumption. Granted i don't have to worry about people watching my electric bill, but the cost of running an hps is out of this world. I can run about 2k watt equivalent led's for the power costs of 1k hid.
AFN is amazing, i was very happy to find it. everyone here is nice, and i don't get that bad vibe i've had at other sites i've visited. They don't find you stupid here, and they point you in the right direction. On another forum, i have seen people slammed for asking simple questions, and they don't even give an answer to the people asking the questions. PLUS everyone is anti autos. Autos are amazing imo. I don't have to worry about a light schedule or light leaks and the timing it takes is much less than photos. I don't mind getting new seeds every once in a while because im hoping to breed my own males (been reading through the breeder's corner).

I have that problem too, one monster, or a perpetual grow. @Trapper does do an amazing job and I wish someday to get to his point in abilities.
I don't see a problem with going from one light source to the other... It's all an experiment.

@SouthernGurl : 4 in a 4x4 tent makes me feel good that i can lst it for the first month with my toof decay, harvest the toof decay and then push the gc. How has the gc smoke been for you? have you let it cure at all? I know i go through mine fast if i don't let it cure. But, i think i'll be doing much better on this round than my last. I've found the magic number of jobes organic 4-4-4 spikes is 8 per 3 gallon airpot, and that seems to really make a difference. 4 at the outside corners, and 4 about 3 inches away from the base of the plant, no nute burn, and just enough.

I'd still consider myself a newbie. Can I join this party? Was gonna drop two more Grape Crinkle seeds next week anyway. Probably using 5 gal smart pots, doing a test between Biobizz light mix and sunshine mix [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] grow medium and using biobizz nutes

I think we could make an exception lol, we can do this I have been growing for a long time and wanted to just journal my GC's here for comparison purposes. You and I could always have a separate an internal competition to use as a good baseline! @MissUniverse whadda you think
