I don't smoke!!!
Has anyone dried their harvests via the Freeze drying method?

Most articles talk about how good the process is, and how quick aswell. And I honestly LOVE the look of freeze dried buds.

However I'm a non smoker, so does anyone have any smoke reports? Apparently the turp profiles are really good.

I've never done it sorry but if you ever tried it I'd love to see it

My goals is to buy one by the end of this year. If not for the current grow then deffinately for the next! Fingers crossed !!
It's good that your thinking of new things I know it sounds crazy but I'm always thinking none stop about plants or improvements I can make as this hobby can take over your life

My question is how do you reconstitute it with Water? like any other vegetable or meat?? you have to add water??
What i do for long term storage, is when dry right in to seal a meal, all air evacuated. in to freezer. it even cures when this is done , i have kept buds like this for up to two years, and it was as fresh as when i put it in the freezer. AND had a better cure.

Freeze drying of vegetables has been around for a while...in the '40's, my grandfather worked for a refrigeration engineer who developed a freeze dry process for vegetables and became one of the leaders in frozen veggies. In the 60-70's, I worked for the same man during school breaks....
The process was the fastest blast freeze possible which is ammonia based process...and that is an extreme process being used for tons and tons of veggies daily....One of my main 'testers' is one of the refrigeration mechanics for the company and has 'quick' froze some buds often...it truly does preserve smell, taste and potency....and looks good doing it.
There is no reason that freeze drying cannabis wouldn't work quite well.

Hell yes to that my friend lmao. The millisecond my eyes are open in the morning I’m thinking plant, I fall asleep thinking about plant, it’s constantly been in my head since I started 12 weeks ago,. I doubt I’m mentally stable to have a hobby like this lol.

it will take over all your thought but look at the pay off :pass:

I think @WildBill was getting into that.
Not really.

I freeze the canna in the kitchen freezer and super freeze the with dry-ice and shake dem trichomes!

Now, If I did ice water hash, I'd have a freeze dryer to dry the hash after collecting it.

Then I'd squish the hell outta it!:headbang::headbang::headbang:
