[h=1]How Body pH Can Affect Your Energy Levels[/h] By Andy Long

WHAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE; WE ARE BIO ELECTRICAL ENGINES
In order to accomplish all the many millions of complex functions that occur over the course of the day, your body has to be able to communicate with itself... all the way down to the cellular level. And do you know how it does this? Through pulses of electricity. That's right, electricity.
Your body operates on an electro magnetic current. Believe it or not, all of the organs in your body emit these fields of electrical current. In fact, nerve signals are nothing more than electrical charges.
What creates this electrical power in your body is a very fine balance that exists in your bio chemistry. And of all the systems in your body that depend on this delicate, bio chemical balance, one of the most important is your blood stream. This is where pH comes into play. But what is pH?

WHAT PH IS AND WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO ALL YOUR BODY FUNCTIONS

PH is a scale that measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is. The scale ranges from 1 to 14 with 1 being very acid, 7 neutral and 14 very alkaline.
So what does pH have to do with you and your blood? Well, the pH of your blood is extremely important. The ideal pH level for your blood is right around 7.35 and your body goes to enormous lengths to maintain this level.
Why? Because if your blood pH were to vary 1 or 2 points in either direction, it would change the electrical chemistry in your body, there would be no electrical power and in short order you would drop dead. As you can see, maintaining the right pH level in your blood is pretty important!!
With this in mind a good way to avoid upsetting this delicate bio chemical balance would be to take a look at those things that can compromise the maintenance of the ideal pH level in your body. And what is the main culprit in this case? The answer is the creation of acid in your body.
Before we look at what causes acid, here's a graphic example to give you an idea of what can happen in the blood when your pH drops to less than ideal. Red blood cells are how oxygen is transported to all the cells in your body.
As red blood cells move into the tiny, little, capillaries, the space they have to move through gets pretty small. In fact, the diameter of the capillaries gets so small that the red blood cells sometimes have to pass through these capillaries one red blood cell at a time!
Because of this, and because it's important for the red blood cells to be able to flow easily and quickly through your body, they have a mechanism that allows them to remain separate from each other. This mechanism comes in the form of the outside of healthy red blood cells having a negative charge. This causes them to stay apart from each other, sort of like when you try to push the negative ends of two magnets together. They resist each other and stay apart.
Unfortunately, acid interferes with this very important mechanism in a pretty frightening way. Acid actually strips away the negative charge from red blood cells. The result is that your red blood cells then tend to clump together and not flow as easily. This makes it much more difficult for them to flow easily through the bloodstream.

But it also makes it harder for them to move freely through those small capillaries. This means less oxygen gets to your cells. Acid also weakens the red blood cells and they begin to die. And guess what they release into your system when they die? More acid.
I could describe a whole list of processes that occur when your system becomes and remains acid but I think you get the idea. The point is that aside from the acid that is secreted into your stomach to aid digestion, acid in your body is bad. Really bad.
In regard to producing energy in the body, here's an easy question for you. What do you think happens to a person's energy level if over time their system becomes more and more acid, their biochemical balance is disrupted and their red blood cells can't deliver oxygen and nutrients as efficiently to all their cells? The answer is simple. Their energy level drops. Dramatically.
Are you beginning to get the picture here as to the importance of pH in your body? Good. Now let's take a quick look at what causes acidity in your body and then look at steps you can take to get your body pH back to an ideal level.

WHAT CAUSES ACID IN THE BODY

The primary cause of an acidic condition in your body is from what you put in your mouth. In other words, what you eat and what you drink. And it isn't how "acid" something may seem when you eat or drink it. It has to do with what is left over when you digest it.
Specifically, does eating or drinking something leave behind an acid or alkaline "ash".

For example, I don't know about you but I love seafood. Scallops are one of my favorites. However, when your body digests scallops, it leaves an extremely acid ash. In fact, scallops are one of the most acid foods you can eat.
Unfortunately, a lot of the things most people put in their mouths create an acid ash. These include alcohol, coffee and a lot of flesh protein in your diet. Interestingly enough, stress also tends to create an acid condition in the body.

STEPS YOU CAN IMMEDIATELY TAKE TO IMPROVE YOUR PH

Fortunately, it is pretty easy to immediately change your pH for the better and make it more alkaline. The first step is to understand which of the foods you are eating and the drinks you are drinking are acid and which are alkaline. Then it's simply a matter of eliminating some of the more acid foods you are eating and adding in more alkaline foods.
However, before you start, it's important to get a baseline of what the pH is in your body so that you can see how you are improving or if you need to continue to eliminate more acid foods and add in more alkaline ones.
You can do this by testing the pH of your saliva on a regular basis. This is really simple to do. More details on how to do this are provided on some web pages I have created for you to help you out. A link to these pages is provided below.
In addition to decreasing the amount of acid foods you eat and increasing the amount of alkaline foods you eat, one of the best ways to immediately begin changing your pH is to drink "green drinks"
. You can make these by simply adding a powder that is made up of a whole host of vegetables that are highly alkaline to a glass of water. Information on suggested green drink powders to use is included on pages that I have a link to below.

Juicing Recipes That Make You Glow

juicing-recipes-collage-1.jpg
Here are some basic juicing recipes to get you started making your own fresh, raw organic rainbow of juice that will add vibrancy and color to your body and life.
Drinking juices in the morning can be a great way to start the day and is the perfect time when the digestive tract is clear and the cells are hungry for high quality liquid food that is easy to assimilate.
Many people today are experiencing the health benefits from taking one day off a week from of solid foods and partaking in a one day juice fast. While others might choose to go for longer periods of super juicing, drinking only juice for many days in a row.
Depending on your unique situation, sometimes pure water fasting might be appropriate after a period of juice only fasting. It's all really up to you and your current health goals.
How to Juice

The process of juicing is achieved by pressing vegetables and fruits through a juicer. This removes the fiber content that you would normally have to chew your way through and concentrates all the nutrients into a juice you can easily drink and absorb.
Why Drink Juice or Juice Fast?

Drinking freshly made juices not only provides extra vitamins, minerals and enzymes, but some juices are particularly helpful for detoxification of the lymph and tissue pockets of the body.
Not only are these juices extremely healthy to consume, there are also many juice recipe combination's that also taste amazing, so you don't have to give up taste for nutrition.
In addition, periodic juice fastingprovides a mini vacation for the digestive system, allowing the organs of elimination a chance to cleanse by removing excess waste material. We always recommend some kind of fasting a couple times of year as an adjunct to a health promoting diet and lifestyle.
Types of Juicing Recipes

Green juices are one of the most cleansing juice blends you can consume and are especially beneficial if you are wanting to detox and cleanse the blood of heavy metals, candida or unwanted parasites.
Other juicing recipes, using sweeter fruits and vegetables, are also a great choice for their alkalizing effects that help to balance pH levels.

Nine Basic Juicing Recipes

1) Green Goodness Juice

juicing-for-health-green-juice-recipe.jpg
This is our basic green juicing recipe that you can adjust to your own personal taste over time, adding different leafy greens and different variations of veggies.

Ingredients:

  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 3-5 big pieces of dino kale
  • handful of parsley
  • some fennel bulb or stalk
  • handful of spinach leaves
  • 1/8C pure water (optional)
Directions:

  1. Press veggies through your favorite juicer
  2. Add 1/8C pure water at the end to extract rest of the juicing liquid.
  3. Pour into a glass.
  4. Serves one.
We tend to make about a quart of juice at a time, but you can make more and store it in the fridge or freezer for a day or two.
2) Sweet Delight Juice

We love the purple color of this one. It is also a delicious tasting juice and not too sweet for those avoiding high amounts of sugar.
4) Beet Juice Recipe

beet-juice-recipe.jpg
Ingredients:

  • half a med beet root
  • 3 celery stalks
  • quarter habanero pepper
  • 1 green apple
  • 2 carrots
  • big handful of cilantro (with stems)
  • squeeze of lime juice
Directions:

  1. Juice the above ingredients.
  2. Add your beet at the beginning to avoid beet juice dripping at the end, as it will tend to dye your counter top.
  3. Pour into your favorite glass.
This is one of our favorite beet juice recipes that we stumbled upon during a juice fast. You can learn more about the benefits of beet juice and why you might want to consider drinking it for periods of time.

5) Lemony Carrot Turmeric Juice

  1. Juice the above ingredients in a juicer or high speed blender (and strain).
  2. Add the blue green algae and stir until dissolved.
How to Juice Without A Juicer

For those of you who do not have a juicer, you can also use a high speed blender or NutriBullet. This process involves blending your juicing recipes with a little water (if needed) and straining the liquid juice through a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer.

8) Wild Green Sprout Juice

We also enjoy miners lettuce andchickweed in the spring time as well asmallow and purslanein the summer when they are most abundant.

They are especially wonderful when picked fresh and juiced immediately.

Adding sprouts, like broccoli or fenugreek, to your juice is something we picked up from Ann Wigmore and theHipprocrates Institute.
9) Green Juice Blast Recipe

This is the famous lemon-ginger green juice blast made popular by Lou Corona, a holistic health educator and juicing guru.
It is a great juice blend for any kind of congestion or mucus condition and is a great immune system boosting juice if you feel like you are getting sick.

It's a spicy one that "blasts" through the senses, so beware if you are sensitive to hot foods. (For more info visit our green juice blast page.)

How to Drink Your Juice

juice-pulp.jpg
When drinking your juices, try to drink them slowly. Ideally, you’ll want to swish the liquid around in your mouth and “chew” it slightly. This will mix in your saliva and enhance the digestive process.
The green juices also wash the mouth free of bacteria and help to nourish the teeth. It is best to drink your juice in the morning on an empty stomach.
This allows for greater nutrient absorption. If you drink juice in the middle of the day, do so between meals.

Remember... you can also use the pulp left over from your juicing recipes and it add to raw soups, dehydrated crackers or try it in ourcrouton recipe that uses over a quart of left over juicing fiber!

Do not use a high speed blender !

DO NOT USE HIGH SPEED BLENDERS !!!

High speed blenders cause friction, friction causes heat and the heat kills nearly half of the good enzymes.

The Gerson Therapy people have been doing this since the 1920s and say you must use a masticating juicer.

Masticating juicers are expensive but necessary if you don't want to lose half the benefits.

DO NOT USE HIGH SPEED BLENDERS !!!

I did the PH up like #1 suggested I'm running 6.0 to 6.6 and what i have noticed most is how happier I am. Its like just raising my PH just made so much more happy. I am smiling more I tend to speak to people nicer. That's the best way I can explain it.

I'm pretty sure you can't safely change your body's ph (at least not by that much). Maybe the ph of urine, but not your overall internal ph.

Maybe the ph of urine, but not your overall internal ph.

It is the urine PH that we are Talking about.

I'm running 6.0 to 6.6 and what i have noticed most is how happier I am

Yup..that is what most people Notice...:coffee2:..or a rush of Energy..normally ends up in sex or spring cleaning...:tiphat:..Pick Well....

:Gary:

Getting you up the Full PH point gives you 10 Times the oxygen in your blood than you had..That is what you are feeling.

If we could get you up to PH 7.5..you would have 100 times more oxygen..Imagine what That feels like.....Hop digity

But..small steps...

If we can get you to Appreciate that the PH Theory Works and you can feel Better this Fast..we can start to look at other ways to Help.

Remember all that has made you feel Better is a tub of BS that costs under 1$...for a months treatment.

That's the best way I can explain it.

The way I Felt it was..within 4 days of BS treatment I felt Lighter in body and soul.....it takes a Weight off.
