Flushing: The Myth that won't Die

Ok another question, was a dark before
Chop proven and how long if so ?
Im sure it was but a quick search didnt find anything.
Forgive me !

I've had a lot of people tell me they could. in a blind test, not one could. And I catch the fakers by randomly giving them two of the same, not flushed buds. I'll flush a plant now and then just to prove this

Hey, just saw this. Very cool, I will try without flushing some plants. If it mean larger harder nugs like the guy above say, then I will get used to new taste, haha
@pop22, I bet you I can still taste a difference but could be better or worse or just different, taste is individual. Around here every dude flush like a good drench first then just water, save a few quid on food, cool but maybe also save on yield, not cool. Haha
Can't wait to pass some full feed buds around and see what peeps say.
Thanks for posting this

Although new to the growing game, I am intrigued about the mentioning with Jamaican farmer placing a blade in the stock to cause the plant stress to produce more. My grandmother did this with tomatoes.she would drive a Large stainless steel nail through stalk, said it makes them bigger and forces the last bit of energy into fruits.and her tomatoes were always fat and beautiful. Anyone tried this with their plants?

Thanks for the info! I've had many great crops using nothing but Miracle Grow! I started growing when Reagan was President. There was no internet and all the grow info came from Ask Ed (High Times) and books! No fancy nutes either. Only hydro growers used hydro nutes.

lets throw a bomb into the mix just for the sake of the argument, I like to stir things up... I'm not lying, I could tell the difference, 2 plants one flushed, one not... the one not flush was a harsher smoke, I tested on my unsuspecting friends who had no idea what i was doing, they had no clue and just thought it different strains, all took the flushed plant over the none flushed. I'm redoing the test again with next harvest, kept one plant from being flushed, clones this time so I should get a better result for testing... the last test could have been a difference in pheno's, I'm still open to the variables.
Even if you only do it save on nutes its worth it... I think it a must for coco due the nute build up.

I'm open to learning something new! I've heard so many old wives tales
It can be hard to know what information to trust. I've heard (or read) that using HPS only weakens genetics. That vegging plants 24 hours stunts growth. That you must harvest a plant with roots intact and hang it upside down to dry (an oldy goldy). There's nothing like good, old fashioned observation! Thank you for your contribution!

Guys, i had two blackberry gums, i was suppose to "flush" one of them, but as one is lacking nutes allready its not a fair game. If they would have been equal in health i would have done as said.
But, now its the first time ever i kept a girl green all the way to harvest, and the buds are looking great, she smells wounderfull and she has power in her.
I know without even have smoked her that her buds are better then when i always have underfed my girls.
I can feel with the look of my eyes that these unflushed buds will be great.
The girl whos underfed does not have the same "aura" around her, the buds dont smell as much and they are not as heavy (yet?).
One of my Bbg will go down in five days or so... I think i will give her water for a couple days, just to let her eat up the chlorophyll from her leafs. That will be basically all she needs.
I will never let a girl go hungry again in bloomstage. Thanks pop for pushing about no flushing. Thanks for the thread.

I have two blackberry gums. Different phenos but i could give this a try as i grow alot. I have alot of friends that are very crirical when it comes weed. If it aint really good, they dont want it. 1 of the plants will get 10 days flush/rinse and the other one will go with nutes all the way to chop. This could be good for me to know aswell... :shooty:
did you try this one out mate?

I gotta ride the no flush train on this journey also. I use coco and honestly a plethora of different brand nutes as im trying to use them up before they get too old. My experience has shown me what @pop22 mentioned already that its all about a proper cure. When I've f*cked up my cure, the nasty grassy harshness takes over the terp profile of the strain.
