vaporizers sure have come a long way.

I got very first vape when about 10 years ago when i was still living in cali.
this is what i went with at the time

basically a blow dryerish hot gun that blasted your buds in an over sized bell shaped bowl attached to a bong. The temps got crazy hot and the gun was super loud. I burnt the buds to a charcoal black and made them smell like burnt pop corn. It did come in the snazzy case though, which was only good for party appeal, everyone wanted to know what was in the case. Before i moved from Cali, i wound up just leaving it at a friends house. Was not a fan of it. paid almost $300.00 for it and only used it maybe 10 times :toke:

I got one of these a few years later.

it's a digital vape with a snake. I think i paid just over $100.00 for it. Great deal for what it is. Temp control that came with a remote and a nice quiet fan in the back that assisted with the vape so you didn't even have to suck. Once finding the sweet spot temp setting it was a nice piece to sit on the couch and get baked with. I eventually wound up giving this vape away to a friend who had a collapsed lung and really needed to vape instead of smoke to reduce coughing. He still loves this thing.

I did wind up picking up a magic flight launch box to see what all the hype was about.

Got it for $99.00. Used the hell out of it for about a month, even took it to the movie theater with me. It's a great personal piece but once the batteries get weak, it's highly annoying to work with. Having the attachment wand seems like a better, more effective way to use it. I still have mine, but i haven't replaced the batteries or got a wand, so it just sits there

My next vape venture is going to be either a g-pen or persei or some other brand for vaping oils on the go.

Glow and i are going to see the in-laws next month so a vape pen looks to be in order for the visit. I'll do a review on it when i have it but it's basically operated like an e-cigarette pen. you fill a vial up with oil twist and press. heats up the oil at the right temp for vaping and looks like a writing pen when closed up.

How many years has it been since we sat on a beach and vaped hash with a magnifying glass, the sun and a couple of straws. Brings a tear to my eye. The good news to all you young people is that it is still fun being old and smoking a joint in the morning sitting on my swing on my upoper balcony and watching the plants grow.

I like the sound of that Nelson. I can see you there, smiling and puffing away.

Npw that I am 67 don't know that I can see well enough to focus the magnifying glass on the bud. I can still suck on a straw though. Still a big fan off a well rolled joint. I kind of miss the teenagers in the house they could really roll great joints. they must of got great marks in high school joint rolling class. Oh well they just got older and moved out.

I have a Vapir NO2 that has taken the place of pipes and joints after nearly 40 years of smoking. I have no complaints w/ it's operation and someday I hope to buy an Extreme Q but for now I really don't have a place to use it. FWIW ....I vape @ 385 degrees ... I have a couple questions that I'm hoping some of the more experienced Vapers here can answer for me.

1. I see my buds getting frostier and stickier every day ... has anyone ever tried fresh bud in their vape ? If yes, how'd it work ???

2. Any simple but effective uses for the oil that accumulates in the wand ?? Is it edible ... will eating it medicate you ?

3. Preferred rH for vaping ?

Thanks for any and all input ...

I have vaped freshly picked Romulan, Purple Kush, Pineapple Kush, and Alien OG in my vaporizer. Firstly, nothing beats cured weed. But if you need to medicate fresh weed. The vaporizor is the only way to go. You will still get some "green" taste, but not real bad, easy enough to handle. And you don't have to worry about drying it out either.

In my opinion, it is the best way.

BTW Easy vape, of of Amazon, 30$, and it is great, cant' wait to afford a better one

my two cents

I use the Arizer Extreme Q 4.0 and it's a real treat on the taste buds and lungs. Vaping is the best way to check your buds along flowering; I like taking a small bud when the trichs are a little clear, wait a week or two, take another small bud when the trichs are getting milky, wait a week or two, then try a sample with amber trichs. At least for me, it's helped me differentiate the different highs associated with the trichs. My Mrs. is patiently waiting on a couple white widows in my tents; I harvested one with milky trichs the other day and the rest should be much more amber, so now she gets to decide what she likes. I've tried quick dry methods for conventional smoking; ovens, heaters, microwaves (if you use a microwave, look up the steam method; it's the best way to keep trichs from bursting from heat.) Nothing beats that fresh plant taste out of the vape. Takes a few draws for the moisture to vape out; but then you'll have a bag (or whip) just FULL of vapor goodness.

Just a helpful caution; do research the handheld vaporizers before buying one. MANY small handhelds are not very well calibrated and often burn at temperatures different then what is displayed on the dial or LCD. Even my Arizer burns a few degrees off from what is displayed on the readout. A few degrees can be the difference between more harsh chemicals and carcinogens being put into your bag versus not.

Happy vaping though my brother!
