First time indoor and auto

Your extraction fan is going scrub a certain amount of air per hour. Your smells will fill whatever space you have. The smaller the space the easier it will be to control and keep clean. Absolutely nothing wrong with using a big room but my guess would be you are going to spend more money and more effort trying to control your environment than you would if you just bought a tent.

whatever you decide before your plants get into flower run your extraction and smoke a nice big fatty in the room. If you can smell it out I side or if someone comes in the room 10 minutes after you are done and it still smells thenyou will have issues.

A 4by4by6’ tent will have 100 cubic feet of air. Your room will have 1300 cubic feet, and probably not as sealed as you think. To scrub that much air will not only require bigger more expensive equipment but you’ll be scubbing a lot of air that you don’t really need to.

Now if your going to run 40 plants at 4 square feet of floor space per plant then you’ve got the perfect room and get some really big equipment and let’s get this party started.

:vibes: :goodluck:
Growing is the idea plan on moving up to bigger grows once I get it figured out and get more equipment. As for scrubber I'm using 8 inch ipower fan and carbon filter checked my cfm requirements and this system will scrub my area fine and as for climate control I've got the temp and humidity under control with heaters, fans, dehumidifier, humidifier. What ever I need at the time. The scrubber will be installed soon. No stank yet so not rushing. Plan on getting some tents for room. So I can grow perpetually

Exactly! Size your tent to your needs, not your space. In auto racing there's this bit of wisdom: Speed cost Cubic $$$, how fast do you want to go???.... I estimate that a well setup 4x4 growtent costs about $1500 to cover all needs properly. Multiple that by your space ..........

Also u can buy a humidity/temp control or pick up a infinity 6in or 8in inline fan also if you get some panda plastic (30bucks) u can use a corner of the room and use that to make a tent if ur only running 2 or 4 plants u will loose a lot of light/penetration bc it has no wall to bounce off of or by the time it reaches the wall it can't. Any other? I'm around tag me that's the best thing about this site 99% are very helpful and glad to share ideas u got a good start so keep up the hard work ad I'm sending good vibes and grow karma ur way bud

Sounds like you got it figured. Looking forward to your grow.

The first thing I see here is envy, I wish I had a space like that to work with :yay:. Go with the 8" fan and filter because I see the potential for a bigger garden? Make the intake vent larger than the exhaust vent if you can. You will want to filter the incoming air through a HEPA filter to prevent bugs and molds from entering the grow area. If you can use a stove pipe outside of the building to get the intake 4 or 5 feet off the ground you will suck in fewer bugs.

You should not close the air off to this room unless you will be adding supplemental Co² The plants will use the Co² faster than you think. In that regard if you can pipe air in from your living space it will be richer in Co² than air from outdoors. It will help to have multiple air sources in case it is really stormy and wet outdoors when you are in late flower.

There are so many possibilities:goodluck:. Tag me if you have any other questions.

After some research I think I might get a 5x5x6 tent and a smaller fan and scrubber. This will help me get to my perpetual grow with multiple tents I want. Then I can set up 2 or 3 tents slowly but but surely and get the all going.
