First time indoor and auto

Biggest question right now is. I have a basement room set up its 13x13x8 one door two basement windows that dont open. On putting in a 8 inch fan and carbon scrubber. Do I need to bring in air from other rooms or can I just seal room and use scrubber in that room. Temp is not an issue nor is RH. And its only 3 plants

always better to be bringing fresh air from another room in winter though i don't always have my windows open in the basement havent you got any way to vent that hot air to outside with your ducting i grow with a tent myself

I can vent into another room In basement wich is huge ass room and that room has another room attached wich has a door outside .

I'm worried sucking in air from another room in basement will affect my RH as the basement is very humid outside of my controlled grow room

Also it's all brick room only wood to vent through is door or between rafters there is wood at top of wall I could cut a hole in either. And do i need two holes equal size one for intake one for exhaust? Only need one inline fan tho right. Sorry so many questions

You could treat my room as tent I guess act like it's a 13x13x7 tent inside a room that is like 13x30x7 lol it's pretty well sealed like a tent other than the vent holes I have to saw out and temp and humidity control in the room

Hmm a big ass room with 3 plants in the corner.
My cupboard sucks air through cracks in cupboard door from the boxeoom,and pushed air out the ceiling into the attic.
Im thinking........cut a 4”hole in the door sucking out of the room.

But its a monday not a thinking day

Your extraction fan is going scrub a certain amount of air per hour. Your smells will fill whatever space you have. The smaller the space the easier it will be to control and keep clean. Absolutely nothing wrong with using a big room but my guess would be you are going to spend more money and more effort trying to control your environment than you would if you just bought a tent.

whatever you decide before your plants get into flower run your extraction and smoke a nice big fatty in the room. If you can smell it out I side or if someone comes in the room 10 minutes after you are done and it still smells thenyou will have issues.

A 4by4by6’ tent will have 100 cubic feet of air. Your room will have 1300 cubic feet, and probably not as sealed as you think. To scrub that much air will not only require bigger more expensive equipment but you’ll be scubbing a lot of air that you don’t really need to.

Now if your going to run 40 plants at 4 square feet of floor space per plant then you’ve got the perfect room and get some really big equipment and let’s get this party started.
