Hello. Thanks for having me. I have a lot of experience growing photos, but I want to try autoflowers. Does anyone have any good first timer guides available. Good soil mixes, lighting and water schedules etc. Thanks guys (And Gals) ahead of time.

Hi Bongzilla :)
Welcome to AFN it great to have you with us.:welcome: We will certainly help you out with your first Auto grow.

First off I would say hello in the introductions page. It is a great way to start meeting our awesome members and we get to give you a proper welcome :smokeit: Link - https://www.autoflower.org/index.php?forums/introductions.35/

Have a good look around the forums, they are a constant source of inspiration and you can see how others like to grow their herbs.

As you'll already know having grown photos, there are many different types of grow.

Lighting - use what you already have, you can always change at a later date if it is your want.
Soil many growers start with soil and there are many specifically formulated soils for cannabis growing, stay away from miracle grow composts.
I used Biobizz (organic) for many years but have recently discovered the joys of coco, coco is a good and easy medium to work with if you follow a few simple rules.

Organics - https://www.autoflower.org/index.php?forums/organics.89/

coco - https://www.autoflower.org/index.php?forums/coco.126/

Light schedules - With autos there is no photoperiod to worry about and due to their in built time clock their lives are short.
So longer light schedules are used in the flowering period.
A popular choice is to go 18/6 18 hours light is on and 6 hours light is off.
Other like myself like to go 24/7, 24 hours of light 7 days a week.
There are often debates which is better and the reasons why various opinions apply but if you find that you like a certain light schedule and it works for you then go with that.

We are a friendly bunch here and are always happy to help one another.
Look at some of our members journals as there are some truely amazing auto growers here.
Ask some questions and someone will be sure to help you out with an answer.

peace & happy growing bro :)
