New Grower First time grow.

Day 20 update here View attachment 971589
Everybody is growing. I gave them all a light misting with rodi water this morning and watered 4 of them for the first time in three days. The middle lady looks a little over watered so she didn't get any today. Whenever I open the tent I'm greeted with a fantastic smell. I didn't think they would smell so early. I think it's great but I dont want it to fill the house as my wife is pregnant and wont be impressed lol.
In thinking of just venting the tent outside, it's set up right by my dryer exhaust so an inline fan would toss all the air in the tent outside due to negative pressure. I could care less if it smells outside as I'm in Canada and can grow legally. Would this help or do you guys think I would need carbon?

-Thanks guys

Smell could attract rippers, but if your not worried about that than I think it would be a great ideal to tap into the dryer exhaust! :headbang:

Day 21.

Trying to decide when to start some lst. I'm thinking another 3 days perhaps for the two larger plants. Which are both white widows by the way.

I noticed some very small yellow spots on the large white window. Not quite sure what it is.

Also raised the lights 5 inches, I'd like them to be a bit taller

I'd like to add that I hate this soil and will not be using it again. It becomes very dense when watered and clumps together. It isn't airy at all.

started to lst today. I'm training three of them, and I only topped one. I know I've stunted the plants early on. I'm thinking with either temp or terrible soil. The rest of this grow is is an experament for me to see what I want to do next grow

Hi Devon 11 ~ Your ladies are growing up so fast! I’m square in the middle of my first grow myself - been in veg for a while and my ladies will be budding any day now!

You will get lots of help from the folks here! Lots of knowledgeable people and they don’t mind pointing you in the right direction.

My plants seemed like they were going to be tiny things forever! Then they just exploded and it’s what they do!

I was using RO water under an Amazon LED myself, and it turns out that my girls were calmag hogs! Right about the age yours are, little brown spots began popping up here and there, on the older leaves first. And it spreads fast! Don’t be afraid to use the maximum dose of calmag. Hopefully you don’t run into that problem, but be on the lookout!

I see you spoiled yourself with a new tent ... good for you! Although I do admire your inventiveness with building your own. Lots of experienced growers here are inventive and handy and put together great solutions for themselves on their own. I particularly like the setup that @Give Pizza Chants made for himself. Seems to be working for his ladies just fine. Here’s a link to his grow: https://www.autoflower.org/threads/virgin-grow-1st-everything.67780/

I agree, you’ll probably be fine without the filter to vent outside. And your topping and LST ... spot on!

Well that’s enough for me, I’ll be checking in on your thread, and I know in no time flat your 4x4 is going to be busting out the seams full of pot plants!

Ladies are all doing fine. They are growing, but so slowly. Defanitly becoming bushy but gaining no height. I am starting to become slightly frustrated with how little progress I see day to day compared to other growers. Especially considering the money I sank. But it's a learning curve for sure. Next grow will be better

I’m looking at your pics from 3 days ago and I see noticeable growth. They may have been stunted early on but things are moving nicely now. And they’re about to hit a growth spurt. If all else is well, no worries.
