New Grower First time grow with DP think different, Help needed and very much appreciated, please advise

Hi there for starters my grow room is in construction but equipment so far goes as follows:
1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0m tent
2 x TT vent fan (1 inlet, 1 outlet)
Air cooled supernova reflector
4 x think different

Other equipment queries:
I was goin to be using a 400w hps with a digital ballast but am consider goin for the 600w, would this be necessary or make any significant changes to my crop based on 4 plants within the the tent described.

Pots I've chose are the airpot 10L but agen after reading thru the forums I begin to think a 15 or 20L may have a dramatic effect on size and yield of plant?

I will be using a soil medium but have seen so many I feel at a lost to making a decision and all seem to have various benefits plus feel the same way about the nutrients and would like to ask wat would b the ideal full feeding regime for this strain and set up and of course wateva medium is suggested

And finally as its my first grow and cost has been higher than antisicipated is it rely that important to b controlling the atmosphere, it will b up in my loft n so the inlet will just b sucking in from my unfresh loft air could this cause a problem and if so wat measures should b taken? Also wat methods can b applied to regulate temperature as even tho air will b continuosly flowing and circulating it is already rather hot up there with the central heating on despite the lights not being installed yet

I will of course keep a diary and post pictures as I continue but as current I'm laying a chipboard flooring in the loft and the equipment that has arrived is still boxed

Feeling like a kid in a candy store lol I felt set on think different after looking at so many but have now discovered the super auto range, any1 aware of any major disadvantage to using these? And would they have any other requirements?

I usually give myself 150W per plant so id go with the 600 if possible. Just make sure your soil is just organic with no nutes, I always mix in more perlite to every soil mixture for good drainage. I go up to a 3gal pot but some people say it should be 5gal due to how the root balls grow so fast. No nutes until after day 14 or 2nd node. Start them off with 1/4 dose. Quit feeding 2 weeks before harvest and just water normal with ph'd water. They will really pack on some weight using up all the leftover nutes that were there.

Thank you for the welcome and advice I have now opted to go for the 600w would you suggest a hps throughout the grow or a mh to hps, I am unfamiliar with 'dual spectrum'

I have also decided that my 4 DP think different seeds will b placed straight into 20litre air-pots (too large??) containing bio bizz light mix with additional perilite (still unsure on the perfect ratio) and stay in this mix throughout the grow, any suggestions for the germination? Will straight into the soil b sufficient or shall I soak first?

As nutrients I will keep it simple and and stay with the bio bizz range for all my nutrients any suggestions on specific ones that will b necessary?

First off welcome and good luck with the grow dude. You can just put it straight into the growing medium, i personally do this, but most people soak until the seed sinks place it in a wet papet towel wait until it cracks and then plant it. I use guano so can't advise on the biobizz nutes but I'm sure someone else will stop by. I would say get a 400w metal halide bulb for veg if you can, you could use the hps all the way through but you won't get the same results. I use a dual spectrum but those bulbs can be expensive as hell at least where I'm at. Any way again good luck

Thanks for the advice, obviously 1 bulb thought out seems more appealing any particular specs? Or just any '600w dual spectrum bulb'?

Also is any1 aware of wat problems I could incur by just sucking the air from my loft in as my fresh intake and if so wat preventative measures do u suggest?

If the exhaust fan is blowing hot air back into the loft and there is no source of fresh air for the room than the air temperature will rise continuously as hot air is recirculated back into the tent. This would be a major problem if you planted in May and had additional warming from the summer sun in your loft. Although I guess you already know all this by now. Did you have any problems with it in the end?
