New Grower First time grow , strawberry nuggets + sour crinkle from Mephisto genetics

Update:
Hey afn so I geuss this will be the last post on this thread. Both strawberrys and the sour c have been taken out. 1st strawberry was still growing, but only 2 inches tall and only pushing out leaves. 2nd strawberry started curling up until the 2 leaves were pointing straight up. They have been getting water only besides the little bit of calmag a few weeks ago. Ph at 6-6.5 . Lights at 2f8in. From top of plants.
Put a wedding cake from the ssc in the dirt the other day and it's doing great so far, sprouted and sitting at an inch and a half tall. Tried to germinate a douple grape from mephisto but for whatever reason the root came out sort of ripped it looked like, and began to curl like a pigtail around itself till the root was wrapped completely around the seed.
recently bought the fox farm trio fertilizer and some great white mycorrhizae. might start a new thread if I see any better success in the next run with the different seeds. Thanks to all that followed along in this grow and pitched in any information, it's all a learning experience. hopefully my next run will turn out a little better.

Coco is tough as a starter grow for new guys as no nutes in the mix, so all must be given. Need EC meter and pH is lower than soil so critical to a good grow. I'm a soil dude but @HushHush grows in Coco I think.

coco can be strange, some brands need rinsed before use some dont.some need precharged with cal/mag and some dont.ph pen i a must with coco, and its never flushed.coco likes damp/moist where soil like wet/dry cycles.
stick a lot of @'s down jump into live stoner gossip for peeps to have a looksie.

Yeah I pulled them all unfortunately. Based on what yall are saying I'm Thinking I should maybe switch out the coco with some normal potting soil in one of my bags before I plant my next bean. I have another sour crinkle being germinated right now and ready to go down. I'll make sure to tag you on my next thread [emoji106]

Either way start a new thread and even if you decide to coco again...You’ll get help here that’s a given...And do a lot of research quickly if you got beans germinating!!! Good luck see you in the next thread fams!!!

I'm not a coco OG, but I have pulled some sucessfully grows with coco. The one thing I noticed right off was that you watered with strait H20, (which is a BIG no no). Get a good ph pen and a ppm/ec meter as they are essential for growing in coco. Also, be very careful using Great White with new seedlings or your plants will look like mine! :yoinks:

This is what happens when you put Great White in the bottom of your pencil hole before adding a new sprout. These mutants are 3 weeks old and I'll never do that again! I start in solo cups and I normally use GW when I move the cups to their final home. Anywho, good luck with your grow and hit me up when you get the ph and ppm/wc meters and I'll try to follow and help! :headbang:

Thanks for the heads up! That was probably gonna be how I used it. Think I'll mix a real small amount into some water instead. I have a ph and ppm meter, got it about 2ish weeks after my first post on here. Ph was 7.0 before I got my pen, now it's kept at about 6-6.5 . The ppm on the water after adding ph down was about 140 .

Always add cal/mag when you feed/water at 5 -10 ml per gallon, (or 2 ml per liter), as coco is a cal/mag whore! Also, always add some nutrients solution. In other words .. when growing in coco, always have enough nutes, cal/mag, (or anything else you use for growing), for your ppms to be at least 400 parts per million. Some may say, no less than 500 ppms. Not enough ppm, (like plain water), will cause your ph to go all over the place and take several days to re-stablize! Just a bit of info, as there is so much more I could say, but I'm in a hurry! :headbang:
