This is going to be my first grow, its going to be a little of a experience for all of us I believe. I'm going to be testing a few things out. But its all just learning right now for me and I don't expect to have all the ladies make it though although I hope and I'm going to try. So let me explain what my setup is.
Seeds-
Sweets Dark Devil Fem x3 and Advanced Auto Blue Diesel Fem x1 from herbies seed bank think my seeds will be in tomorrow or the next day pretty fast shipping less then 10 days but the dark devil is about 8 1/2 weeks from germination to harvest and the blue diesel is about 8 weeks.
Tent-
36x36x80 grow tent can't remember the name now.
Growing medium-
Going to be growing 3 in
OF soil mixed with perlite but might be mixed OF with roots organic to try to bring down the chance of burning. I maybe running 1 in full roots and 1 in full OF then mixing one root and OF with some perlite. But that might be putting myself of my head on my first grow. Then I am trying one Hempy Bucket on the side to see how that system works. I will be using 3 gal pots. Think I might use a 2 gallon I have for the Hempy bucket but we'll see though.
Nutrients-
This is where I have put most of my studying, For my soil it is going to be trio start at 1/2 strength week 3-4. Thats the same for the Hempy but I got the hydro grow big to use with the Hempy instead of the soil based one. I have a bottle of GH flora nova bloom and thought about trying the lucas formula on the hempy because Ill have a lot going on I believe with all the different things I'm doing with the soil and passive hydro might be just easier to keep it simple at first. please let me know if anyone has tried the flora nova on your hempy and how your results were.
Lighting-
I will be using a 400 Watt HPS/MH w/ a cool tube. MH in Veg state and HPS in flowering I believe I am going to do. Don't Think I am going to be dimming my lights at all although my ballast is able to adjust the lighting. Let me know your opinion on dimming the lights during veg stage to reduce the chance of baking?
Ventilation-
I have ordered A iPower 6" Inline Duct Fan 430 CFM, and a 6" Phresh filter which is on the way. I read Phresh filters were the right one for the price. Think I might be using the iPower fan for my cool tube too at first to see how the temperature in the tent looks like. If its too hot then I have to get another inline blower. Also have a 23" normal rotating standard fan, can't remember the brand. I believe I'll be able to keep the heat down though.
I have done hours of research and I believe Ill have a good grow. Any tips and pointers will help and Ill will be updating and posting all the time. Will start putting some pictures on soon so stay tooned!
