Hello AFN friends, I just finished weighing and adding up what I grew in my first attempt at DWC hydro. It's also been my first experience with autos. I grew 3 Barney's farm Critical Rapido and 1 Dinafem White Widow auto. Final dry yield (manicured and going into jars for final cure) as follows:
Crit. Rap. plant #1 4.0 oz. dry
" " " #2 4.6 oz. dry
" " " #3 4.2 oz. dry
W Widow plant#4 14.0 oz. dry

Total Yield 26.8 oz. dry (!!)
I previously reported lower estimates for the Critical Rapido in a strain report thread I posted earlier...seems I overlooked a couple of ziploc bags at the time! Hey, it can happen with this much stuff curing up in the lab! In any case, as incredible as they sound, these are the final, correct numbers as measured today.
Details about the grow for those interested:
4ftx4ftx6ft hard sided box, insulated, in an unheated outbuilding.
(1) 400w HPS w/reflector, no glass, no air draw through light (24/0)
(3) 26w daylight compact CFL's (24/0)
Wall mount 3 inch bathroom fan with remote thermostat switch to control temp and change out air. No extra heat required besides lights, even well below freezing outdoors
Ultrasonic humidifier (required for first several weeks)
GH Flora 3 part nutes, GH calmag, deep well water 100ppm TDS and pH 7.4 starting, corrected to 5.6/6.0 pH range. Max feed strength 1200 ppm (Hanna meter) was during late veg and through bloom. dilute feed right from sprout, increased by tracking ppm/pH daily and following the plants' lead.
5 gal. individual DWC buckets, no reservoir, aquarium air pumps and airstones, 6 inch net pots with hydroton. seeds started in small rock wool cubes right in buckets.
120 days seed to chop main colas
140 days seed to final chop, lower branches
