New Grower First Time Auto Grower | Journalling Progress Every Other Day or So

Alrighty good morning everyone! Top of day 13 here, just logging a little bit, and including 2 photos. Still curious about my temperature concerns. Last night was around 81, and this morning 75. Plant looks to be doing fine, so I’m not fretting. Just wondering others thoughts on this, and what the ideal range for this kind of grow should be. Still no idea why they are importing sideways, sorry for that lol.View attachment 873967View attachment 873968

So it’s easy to see the second set of leaves has its 3 fans, does that mean those 2 really small new leaves in the center will be a set 3, a new set? I’ve read that set 2 should have 3 fans then set 3 should begin 5 fans, so that’s my assumption right now.

I still have yet to water. The pot seems to be getting lighter in weight, and the bottom is pretty dry to the touch (Using fabric Smart Pot). Can still feel a slight bit of moisture nearing around 1 inch under the top soil, so right about what I’m looking for. Everything seems okay, so I’m not ‘rushing’ to water.

This is where I would really like some others input and opinions though. So if not today, I will surely water tomorrow. Now, tomorrow will be day 14 on the dot, should I go ahead and begin 1/4 dose of Nutes, in this case my Big Bloom? I’ve read a lot about ppl beginning Nutes with autos around week 2-3, really around week 3 with the nute heavy FFOF soil, which is what I’m using. Again for reference, using 3 gallon pot, 2 parts FFOF soil and 1 part Organic Perlite. I know the Big Bloom is a very safe and not likely to burn anything Nute. I have also read that many people start this dosing when they see the 3rd node appear, is that what I am seeing in the center of my girl now? Would really like some extra thoughts on this before I proceed.

In my opinion, this is my first go at this kind of grow, and things seem quite stable atm. I started with a few trial and errors the first few days, fortunately got past safely, especially thanks to this awesome new light. But I do feel like my plant is a few days behind from it, and since this whole first grow is kind of a trial and error, I’m thinking maybe it would be smart to see how she reacts to beginning feed tomorrow. Thoughts??

Appreciate everything you guys, all of you are top notch and I trust what you have all been giving me insight to.
Looking good so far . 81 is not too bad my temps are higher than that .haha and I would not feed for at least 3 to 4 weeks seeing that you are using soil with nutes .

Subbed up . And usually the leaves go from 1 to 3 to 5 to 7 to 9 or more .

Hey all! Just another brief update. Top of day 16 now, seems to be taking in more water, so went ahead and gave another watering this morning. Probably about 30oz or so, same as 2 days ago. Don’t really seem to have hurdles at the moment. Just going to hope things keep going smooth.

Your doing good and being cautious, they are very forgiving if you don't do anything heavy handed. Let the plant and pot talk to you. I use old timer grow and some seaweed tonic in veg stage with no adverse affects, but they are organic so are forgiving. Your girls are looking healthy. I water more but less often to get that root system working. Keep it up.

Awesome thanks Rollin! That was actually the first time I watered within 2-3 days of one another. That was actually the 3rd time I watered period. I 'pre-set' my soil with about 2/3 gallon of water during germination, about 48 hours before planting the little gal. Then I actually didn't need to water again until Day 7, then again on Day 14 I believe, then Day 16 yesterday. Each time was about 2 solo cups filled near the top.

Hello Hello, top of Day 19 here, just logging a few notes and new images. I know its hard to tell with the light, hopefully I have something more visible for the eyes soon, but the stalk is finally turning green. Mostly the purple hue is left near the canopy, and the bottom half of the stalk is quite green. Still holding around the same temps, mid-high 80s during light cycle, seems to be doing fine. I did read from the seed bank description, that this Blue Berry Ghost OG Auto strain does like the higher side of a warm temperature balance.

Last watering was Day 16, and went ahead and watered this morning. The top soil was quite dry, and my medium seemed to feel quite light. Last waters were 2 Solo cups near filled, this water I went ahead and did 3 of those cups. Seemed to be a good amount to fill the soil, and added some significant weight to the medium. Hopefully the addition of that one more cup of water will help get me back to a longer duration between watering, rather than 2-3 days like the last 2.

Everything looks very healthy though. No discolorations anywhere that I can see, and all leaves seem to be strong and perky. Still no vertical growth as of late, and I am not bothered by this too much. After a starting week of seedling stretching that I was thankfully able to fix, I am hoping that a healthy growing canopy with no vertical growth just means I have my light at a nice sweet spot, hopefully lol. You can see from one of the photos below, that the branch joints under the canopy by the sucker leaves and first set, are actually starting to grow new sets there as well. And at the joints of the original second set, there are even further developed new sets. That is quite exciting, because I really didn't expect that this soon, and had not been looking, oops :). But yesterday when I checked the stalk, I noticed them all there and was quite stoked. Also, I have noticed for the past 2-3 days, that the canopy has not been growing outwards too much anymore like it was, but can definitely see that the center of the canopy is churning out some growth. You can see in one of the close up photos, that the top-center is becoming a dense mass of tiny new leaves. I am guessing this is normal correct, and maybe even a good thing?

As always, I look forward to hearing from all of you on here, and the insights you all provide. It is very valuable to me, and I appreciate sharing this experience with you guys so much. It is much more exciting than feeling alone in this journey lol XD. Also, uploading from my PC rather than phone, I was able to get the images oriented correctly.

I am thinking of beginning light nutes tomorrow... any thoughts? It will be Day 21, growth has seemed to really have slowed the past few days at the canopy since that dense bunch came in. Below the canopy has the few new sets at the joints that have been coming in. Feels like it could be a right time to start 1/4 dose Grow Big and Big bloom in next watering. So really I am thinking more like Day 23 or 24 being I watered yesterday on 19. Feels right, but do not want to get ahead of myself. Thanks!!

even though im tech challeneged a PC is a hell of a lot easier worked than a fone.signatures dont show for a start, and half the buttons are missing.
looking pretty good.if its a light soil then yep start feeding.the stems a tad on the skinny side, you have an osscillating fan or the likes for a lil breeze going ?
keep er lit.

Hello all, just another update here. It is now Day 23, and I have moved on to the next phase lol. Checked her this afternoon after I got home from work, and man some nice growth has happened the past day. The new sets under the canopy seem to be just taking off. The cluster at the center of the canopy has started to growth out some, and seems to be showing sex! The very first original pair of fan leaves are looking darker, which I know is quite normal. Those, and the 2nd original fans, are ever so slightly starting to show a diff hue, as in deficiency; and just a few tips have the smallest sliver of yellowing. Not worried what so ever, everything else looks absolutely great. The container/medium was quite light again, so all that just meant to me that this was a great time to water. So, I went ahead and began my first dose of nutes. Started with Big Bloom and Grow Big, both at 1/4 dose. I am now thinking too, that this may be the perfect time to implement the first Low Stress Training. Not quite sure it is quite ready to train any branches down just yet, but seems like this would be a good time to go ahead and take the whole plant down some, just at the base and above the first set. Not gonna do that right this minute, going to go ahead and see how tomorrow looks, once the plant has adjusted to the water and nutes and go from there. Here are some visual updates, sorry again for the poor light lol.
