First Harvest. How do they look?

Sawa product today and ordered called HerbsNOW, looks like a food dehydrator but the guy has a few growers using it and reports are good. Claims that it is a similar concept but low temp is fixed, fan is not continuous but pulsates, pre set times for his recommendations and input from users over the last few years. He claims it is better for terpes, cannaboids and the over all potency. I want to try it so I ordered one, probably be here before I am ready but that will give me a chance to look it over.
Looks like a food dehydrator but probably with a smaller heater. Ive always been skeptical of claims of a speedy dry time. I was always taught to dry as slowly as possible as there are biological processes happening during the dry/cure that improve the product, and those processes will come to a halt when moisture hits a critical low level. Id be really interested in a product at that price point if it works as advertised!

I think @Shugrows uses one

Man I love mine. Wont dry any other way. He has science behind him really results and studies. The long the weed is exposed to air the more you potency lose. Faster consistent dry mean less time for potency and terps to dissipate. Im so glad I got mine. Weed is always tasty and strong. Right out the dryer

@dec0der get a dynavap m. Vaping is more efficient than smoking if you already don't vape. It's not for everyone but you get more out of less so it might help you stretch your stash. The key imo to gettinf higher yields organic is to have super biologically active soil. My two cents for what is worth.

Don't get caught up on the actual numerical %. Standard testing has an admitted variation of 20%, and many just outright lie.

From your photos though your % is quite good, whatever the actual number is. The most important test is if it fills your purpose.
Mcr labs in mass is sueing 8 other testing companies because they are outright lying on thc levels because then the mj producers use their labs instead. In the lawsuit they are even alleging they are passing stuff with mold pesticides etc so they will keep them as customers. Causing mcr labs to lose out on business because they refuse to fudge the numbers.

You cant make a racy sativa type plant into a couchlock stone olant. You can accentuate those traits in plants that already have them by harvesting by trichs. If your bud is couchlock, thats genetics. And if you really want get into it. Sativa vs Indica has nothing to do with the type of high. There are stony knockout sativas and there are heady uplifting indicas. The type of high is determined by terpenes. Sativa/Indica just tells you how the plant grows, indicas are generally more stout and bushy with fat leaves, sativas are bigger with more space between the nodes with skinny leaves. Thats it!
You can sort of by lower temp vaping stonier plants it doesn't just have to do with the terps it also has to do with cbn. CBN is an oxidization of THC. Meaning cbg turns to thca thca into delta 9thc then into cbn. So older bud and stuff harvested later has more cbn. Pure CBN is redish that's why darker trichs are stonier. THC vaporizes at a lower temp than cbn which means you can not heat your material as hot and get a different effect. Also THC can be separated from cbn and purified but that is a more difficult process. Cbn is a sedative. When you smoke a joint some of the THC is oxidizing into cbn by the heat of the smoke transferring over the bud. you can turn THC into cbn by heating it in a specific manner. Oxidization happens naturally overtime thru curing with age but can be sped up with heat problem with doing the heat method is you destroy the integrity of the bud and terp profile. Terps oxidize and create new flavors overtime. Hope y'all got something from this
