Getting ready to start my first grow. I will be using pro mix premium all purpose mix 2 cu ft bale, has a starter fertilizer in it that's organic. Will be also adding in 3 bags of perlite 8 quart bags. As well as 2 bags of vermiculite.

I will be using calimagic and fox farm nutrient soil trio during the grow.
Starting seeds off in rapid routers.

Wondering what I may be missing or need to add to soil or for nutrients.

Grow set up will be a 4ft by 4ft tent. Running a 600watt hps lamp with cooling tube style reflector and dimmer switch. 5 gal smart pots. 6 inch inline fan 440 cfm with charcoal scrubber, plan to run scrubber to light then into fan and out. Fan will be hooked up to a adjustable switch to regulate speed.
Plan to set up grow tent and run for a few days with everything in it but plants to monitor heat and humidity. And attempt to lower humidity to 30 to 50 to ensure proper range for grow.

:welcome: Hi and welcome to AFN! :cool1:

It's a good ideal to add coco or perlite for improved drainage, especially if it's Ocean Forest as it can be too hot for auto seedlings! :headbang:

Welcome, rlsachs! Good luck. That sounds like a good plan. As far as humidity and what is perfect. It really depends on your temps. Here is a chart that I found helpful. Wrapping up my first grow ever, and I owe a lot to the folks here. Just don't hesitate to reach out and post pics. Folks on AFN are happy to help.

What medium are you using? If hydro, you will need good ppm and pm meters. A soil ph meter if in soil.

Sorry rl, I see that you are using soil. I am a water guy, so no help there. I saw the ash a ton thread, and it is chock full of good info.

Looks like a decent plan. Good luck.

Have a water ph tester. As well as a soil ph/light/ moisture tester.

Tent will be in spare room, house temperature averages about 73 in the room with 65rh. Have an installed exhaust fan in room to pull heat out if I need to. Plan to vent into room unless temp runs high then will vent outside. With passive air intake with filter.

Sounds like a perfect environment. Good luck, man!

I wouldn't decrease humidity from where it is one bit until flower.

Was curious if anyone has had luck starting there seeds in rapid rooters already placed in final grow pot?

Less handling and no need to transplant
