Day 78- so ive done a thing or two.
Gorilla blue is in her own lil 2x2x4' tent with the autocob and tower fan. Temps seem to be holding fairly steady at 72-73.
Some of you astute afn peeps may notice she looks a lil different. I snipped her tops the other night and they are drying.
I sorta maybe fried em a lil, probs when i first got the qb and cranked it all the way up lol. That might have had something to do with it.
They look fine, i think i had caught it before there was too much damage but theres definitely some light bleaching. Ya live and learn!
It works out though, now i can just let her go as long as she wants and she wont be in the way of the lil plants. Im back on track and think she will be about perfect for me in 2 weeks or so.

So i did a thing. If you follow my journal you may have noticed yesterdays post, and the 4 tops i had snipped.
Well, ive been testing out a lil food dehydrator i saw someone here in afn post up about.
Before anybody jumps the gun and wants to explain to me how that that ruins bud or doesnt lend itself to "top shelf" bud, stop.
I get that, i really do. Also tho, i get that sometimes daddy wants to smoke his weed when he wants to lol!
Anywho, back on track, so yeah the dehydrator seems to work. Ive got 2 lil test runs. 1st run was hung dry for 2 days then finished in the dehydrator for about 16 hours. Went in to the jar at 61% rh and is holding steady a day later at 61%. The smoke is good, tho theres no real taste to speak of yet. Thatll come out in the jar i think.
The 2nd batch went straight into the dehydrator after the chop and trim.
After 24 hours in the dehydrator i jarred the buds to check em, and theyre holding steady at 66% rh so im gonna pop them back in the dehydrator, for another couple hours.
My honest opinion.....it works! It is not something id recommend if you need to maintain a certain visual bag appeal for clients.
It is something id recommend tho if youre impatient and wanna get to smoking on some of your own grown weed sithout waiting on a traditional dry/cure.

if it works for you growbro im all for new ways to either speed up or improve my harvests and what a great job on ya girl also i dry all mine in brown paper bags

I dont think this is something ill do all the time, but i dont have any real "rotation" of growing/drying curing flower yet so this will get me some smokeable flower to curb the need lol.
My real dry/cure is more traditional. I hang the plant whole on the clothesline in muh basement, temps and rh are perfect for it, 68f and 50% rh.
Then after 5 days or so it goes in the jar with the boveda pack, gets burped daily, etc.

You are far too kind lol! I got lucky i think, which i will gladly take lol.
I think she has another day or two. She hasnt drank any water in over 24 hours now so i may just wait another 48 hours and give her the chop!
Ill be doing a traditional dry/cure on the rest of her i think.

Wow buddy that looks amazing the trichomes are super thick hell yeah that's what I hope to see on mine im few weeks hopefully lol but the dwarf that i partially chopped is actually thickening up with trichomes think cutting her made her explode with em know on photos I could cut her or dripl whole in the stalk and it would make them come out super thick amd frosty but yours looks superb

I think shes done all right for me, the sample smoke is good and might even be great once its properly dried and cured!
I know this, the buds and sugar leaves are greasy. Its kinda weird actually to have in my hand weed that has so much resin. I cannot wait to get a proper squish with gb!!
