New Grower First Grow - Outdoors in Ireland

So things are plugging away nicely. I’m guessing I’m about 4 weeks behind where I would be if I was under lights the whole time.

was away for a few days and saw a massive stretch.

Will try get a proper update in tomorrow but been busy with work and life.

Day 59 now!

Things are starting to happen. My uneducated guess is I’ll push these to around the 100 day mark.

They’ve been taking roughly a couple of litres every second day. On and off plain water and feed (Cré bloom and boost). I haven’t been phing or any of that jazz. Just seeing what happens!

The two biggies are starting to take over the tent. May ditch the runt of the litter (hiding in the back right here). I can’t see her producing anything.

My wife did feel sorry for her though and wanted me to keep her when I suggested the

It ain’t all plain sailing though… noticed these marks/rust on a few older fans on one of the girls. Anything to be concerned about? All

I’ve also noticed a few tiny flies hanging out - don’t seem to be causing any hassle though.

Excuse the long winded unstructured ramble and thanks again for this amazing resource!

Going strong, taking 2-3l of water with nutes every second day. Issue with underfeeding in one seems to have gone away.

The runt has moved out of the tent and has joined our other houseplants to live out her remaining time in a sunny windowsill. Needed the room for the two big girls!

Figure I have 3-4 weeks left. Photos from a few days ago.

Alright mate the damage from your last update before the most recent one looked egg-fuckin-xactly like what I had recently which is thrip damage. So I took a closer look at the pics and sure enough, there are some thrips.

No need to panic, your plants look >95% fine. I learned that they attack fan leaves, from the bottom upwards, so that's where you'll find em. Top growth will be fine and free from them. Anywhere you see marks and sudden dying of leaves, yup, you know the problem. But it's definitely a small amount when you look at the overall size and good health of the plants. So no need to do anything drastic. Just taking off the damaged stuff will remove a lot of the bugs (the leaves won't recover anyway). And watch that they don't spread or that the population explodes etc

thanks mate- better eyes than I. Worth giving them a spray down with soapy water or other home remedy? Or just keep an eye and let nature take its course?

It's a tough one mate cos a small population won't hurt the plant much. It's only if they get busy reproducing then your yield will suffer. Soapy spray down sounds good. Main thing for now is monitoring it, the plants look in great shape, if there are only a handful of bugs then you're golden
