I water them like picture below. It runs through the funnel down to the bottom bucket via pvc pipe.

That's very interesting! Looks to be working great. I honestly was just looking around on this site for new ideas and saw your Blue Mystic title, I joined a couple weeks ago. I scored with watching the beans I ordered finish out by you in these cool buckets. I like the idea!

I think there's additives that can help with that bud.. Dunno what they are tho...and I also don't know what they might do to the soil..

Might be worth looking into tho.

All the dwc threads talk about the smell of the water and color of the roots. White roots good, brown can be bad unless stained by nutes. Most can tell if the water is bad by the smell.

That's good to know bro. Thank you! No smell from the pots so far. It's always smell fresh in the tent. DWC can give bigger yield and finish in shorter time but it's not better quality.
