Hi second plant of first grow. This one is a Canuk Seeds Auto Cheese. A free seed and it is outperforming the outdoor NL I think due to I used the same 45% coco, 45% compost, 10% vermiculite. soil pH 6.3, water pH 6.9-7.0. temp 72-78. it was hitting 84 and I gave it another fan. first one is blowing on the light driver. second is blowing on the pot to help dry it out. Humidity 54% - 64% Currently she is in her fourth week. She looks really healthy except for some leaf curl, which I think might be due to light intensity. I have a Mars Hydro TS1000 150W. I also added a 38w Kinbo UV LED thinking some UV might help? I had it 28" from the top and moved it to 32" then 34". It has an intensity adjustment which I may try next time. Any thoughts on leaf upward curl being due to light intensity?

this is earlier leaf curl from 2 weeks ago before I moved the light.

The main stalk is very thick with short internodes.

Today was feeding day.
For this I make a version of Garrett Juice. See post on outside NL for details.

More to come. Comments or suggestions welcome

Looking good brother maybe raise the light a little if possible.
Not speaking from personal experience but from what i have read most growers only use uv during the last few weeks to boost trichome development.

Happy growing brother

thanks. I'll look into that. I was just figuring sun light has uv in it so I'll try these. I have two but I'm not even sure what part of the spectrum they should be or what they are.

I have grown some strains that seem to start short and tight like that. For me it’s mostly Mephisto indica strains. Occasionally an odd GG4. I always think about lowering the light and then they just seem to explode without it. Not making any suggestions unfortunately, but if things look healthy it’s always tough to decide. I seem to be trying new strains all the time and each one is s mystery until you have run it a few times.

Take it slow and whatever you decide will work out well.
:vibes:

this strain has Afghani [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] lineage. would you say it looks like that indica side of the family is being expressed here?

from the description

It was originally a Sensi Seeds Skunk [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] phenotype that exhibited an extraordinary smell of vintage Cheese. Maintained in clone form for many years by anyone lucky enough to get their hands on it eventually it was hybridised with Afghani [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] and seeds were produced.

Day 21
RH - 49-64%
temp - 72-77

So i did some LST on the secondary branches, leaf tucking and gave .5 gal water. The stalk is nice and thick. Like good for holding up a nice heavy plant. I read that some hybrid auto's can start out looking like Indica an stretch long in the growth stage like a Sativa. We'll see. So far the indoor environment seems a bit more seedling friendly than the August heat outdoors. I guestimated to be Day 21. This was a last ditch effort after losing 3 plants to heat stress and 3 others not doing as well. a freebie.

Everyone got fed "garret juice" today. I didn't add the vinegar bc the PH was at 4.7. After "brewing" for 16 hours it was 5.7. Runoff was 6.2. So I guess its all good. Still trucking along. going to do some light leaf trimming to open up the middle.
I have been trying to not mess with it too much, just tucking leaves that got untucked the day before. I try to remember that even though its LST it still stresses the plant.
Still vegging.
