Thank God THAT'S OVER!!!!!!!

Ok folks, the final trimmed and de-stemmed wet-weight of what's in the rack for drying now:

1. 651.58 g or 23.27 oz
2. 471.19 g or 16.82 oz
3. 727.35 g or 25.97 oz
= 1850.12 g or 66.06 oz or 4.287 lbs

That should leave a bit more than a pound once dry. More than enough for a while. After all the handling and since this wasn't the strongest stuff to begin with, most of the bud will probably end up in oil as well later after I get the SD/MS grow completed. I smoked the finger hash and I barely got a decent buzz, though the flavor was like suckin' on a pine knot!

Trim weight is 25.20 oz/1.5 lbs. Looks more than what it is. I kept the really "fluffy" bud and put it with the trim. The trim is about 50/50 leaf and bud. All the trim is going to 2 batches of oil. First will be the coconut oil to get an idea of the strength of the material for dosing. After determining how much to thin it out, the last half will go into vegetable glycerine for my ecig. Due to the quantities involved, I would like to use Everclear to strip it after decarbing rather than cooking the material in oil, cook off the Everclear, then infuse the oils. I could use a tried and true recipe for this process if one is out there.

I'd definitely use Everclear on it. Put it in a pot in small batches and soak it in just enough Everclear to barely cover it. Stir it for a couple minutes gently. let it soak about 5 minutes, pour off the liquid, wring out the scuff. Pour the same alcohol over another batch of trim. after this second batch is soaked and strained, pour it into a crockpot set to high. Add about a 1/4 cup of whatever oil you like. This keeps it from cooking off into honey oil, as once it gets to that state, its very difficult to get it to infuse any kind of oil. Process the rest the same way. Keep an eye on the level of the liquid as it evaporates. When the bubbling starts to slow, ad whatever amount of oil you like. I'm making some now, and 3 ounce of trim and a few buds with 2 cups of olive oil ( this batch is going to be for cooking, I processed the stems too ) is going to make about 2 1/4 cups of oil when done, hell you should get almost a gallon of oil lol!

PS I don't strain mine till its done.

Shit I may have to skip the Everclear. That's a "C" note for a gallon to do 3/4 lb with. I've found a two step decarb method that I'm gonna try on half, then I guess I'll have to go straight to oil. Really didn't want to have to do that. Maybe I can do a recirculating leach column type thing instead with just a quart or two...hmmmm.

My trim was fresh frozen. I kept it and the everclear in the freezer. I did about A 3 minute wash I think then strained thru a strainer into the crock pot to boil off the alcohol. a 1/2 gallon would probably do you. I got mine online at winechateau.com

Miz Dubya Final Dry Weight

Ok, folks here's the last of Miz Dubya. The final dry weight before going into the jars.

553.04 g
19.75 oz
1.2344 lbs

The buds were very leafy and airy, so now that they're dry, seems to be right on around 25% of the wet weight. Not much for condensed nugs, but the buzz is ok and has migrated to the level of couch-lock I want. Not the best but she'll do...for now!
