No journals yet...still learning from everyone. When does the BBK smell start?

My BBKs always had a slight skunky tang for about day 30.. & then i had to get the carbon filter going 24/7 at around day 50.. it was more a fruity dank smell than just straight skunk smell.. but had to be got ridden of non the less! :smoking: Smells absolutely amazing now if u gently touch the buds.. the aroma is epic!

Mine is on day 32 and stands about 22" high. Looks nice, just kinda slow, I think. I've watched too many tang videos and drooled over so many pictures that everything I grow falls short. Oh well I'm learning.

So RONDA got an extra day still connected to her roots.. after i chopped SU-BO i couldnt face another few hours snipping away.. so she had to wait & when i chopped her the stems were already pretty dry.. & hollow..

So hoping it'll help safely dry her out safely! :smoking: RONDA certainly isnt as big as her sister but in the bright CFL lights she was super frosty o looking forward to how hard she punches!

"POPCORN BUDS"
Again.. i went bottom to top.. she had alot of thin stems going everywhere.. clearly didnt get enough light tho.. i remember how lush she was growing up.. couldnt leaf tuck.. or even LST she just fought back & was a huge bush! So yeah.. she was pretty light down below

MAIN COLAS & HIGHER GROWTH
Mannn.. she was super frosty & rock solid up top & she stank devine! :smoking: She really looked after her top canopy.. definitely where all the weight was..
& i still had aloooooooot of trimming to do before weight...

You can see from all the LST that the side branches way over took the main stem & grew pretty huge.. most the weight was off just 7 or 8 stems!

FINAL TRIM & CHOPPED FOR BAGS
Well that was alot more painstaking than SU-BO.. note to self.. trim better first cut! haha

She was definitely a few bags short of SU-BO.. but some of her top chunks were just ridiculous! :smoking:

FINAL WEIGHT
Again.. stuck with my small scales & having to go slow & precise weighing.. i finally got her trimmed.. weighed & seperated into bags!

309.7 grams of trimmed wet AutoBlackBerryKush! :smoking:

Apparently 25% of wet weight is an average.. so shouldnt be to shabby!

Awesome first time grow mate,very commendable.Im loving those DP genetics too.
Dry weight usually works out around 25% of wet weight for a rough guide.
So not far away from 4oz from SU-BO.
Excellent results pal.

haaaaa.. i feel your pain bro.. it was TaNgs journal i stumbled ascross & the BBK journal that initally motivated me to get where i am now! :smoking: There was no way i was comparing my grow to his tho.. no way! haha! When they start flowering u forget that & just watch them grow & help them out! Im sure we'll all get it dialled in like the pro's.. eventually!

SU-BO ... FINAL DRY WEIGHT

Soooo.. after 7 days drying in the bags.. i think... :smoking: i finally decided to check them out & see if they were ready for the jars!
I decided to seperate the lower growth & the higher growth.. & decided for the final weight id seperate the 2 & see what t he weights were!

LOWER GROWTH

Decided to give her one last final trim.. get rid of all possible stalks.. i decided to leave pretty much all the sugar leaves on the bud.. i wasnt planning on keeping them & turning them into edibles or whatever.. its always jays or vapes.. so id rather the sugar leaves burnt with the bud! :smoking:

I wasnt being tight.. as i wanted a nice little taste of the driest bud so far.. ive waited this long!! haha!
I also tried to get some close ups of the buds.. but ive only got an iphone so couldnt get any zoomed in trich shots or close up bud porn.. so ill have to wait til ive got a macro lens or find my camera.. so i'll have to update with the proper bud porn later date! As u can see tho.. they are super frosty & this is just the lower growth! :smoking:

Thius lot weighed in at 20.5 grams of dry bud

HIGHER GROWTH
I didnt got into too much detail with this lot.. i knew i wasnt going to be able to get the proper shots i wanted to jsut went thru it.. trimmed the stalks off & weighted it up!

This lot came up at 81.9 grams of dry bud

JARRING & CURING

I obviously did alot of research about this part.. pretty important step!! So i went for the boveda 62% packs.. when i tested a few buds in a jar with a mini digital humidity meter.. it levelled at 55% so if anything it dried out a bit too much! SO glad i got the bovedas! i put the boveda at the bottom of each jar with a cut to fit bit of parchment paper.. then the weed! Id heard that some bovedas had burst with the vaccum sealed jars & ruined all your bud.. so hopefully that'll prevent anything from happening or touching if it did happen!
Anyways.. ive already burped them 3 times.. first after 30 mins.. then an hour later.. then 2 hours later.. etc.. until i can leave them for days at a time.. then can leave them sealed to cure as long as possible.. or as long as i can leave them alone! haha!

FINAL WEIGHT

So about 3.5 ounces of dried AutoBlackBerry Kush bud.. from Dutch Passion Seeds! :smoking:
