New Grower *First Grow* Double Grape Auto by Mephisto Genetics(Autopot XL)

Just need to point out how hardy these beans are considering this coco has not let them have ca-mg and they've somehow made it 21 days. Glad I have two more and a blueberry auto (thank you NASC)

1st thing to do is calibrate your pH meter. doesn't matter if it's new or expensive. 2nd thing to do is relax. Then I would put the plants on some racks over some buckets and flush the f out of them with 5.8 with 150ppm calmag to get the coco back in order and help the rocks. Like 10 gallons each, at minimum. Let them drain for an hour or 2. The coco will drain so don't worry about overwatering. It'll take an afternoon. Then look through @Mañ'O'Green posts for his megacrop schedule. Guys a genius. He's got a ratio for megacrop and epsom salts that'll do you good with RO. Top feed with that 1 time, drain, then back on the rez

I not only calibrated that pH meter I bought a new one and calibrated it as well. Will be buying a bluelabs soon too thanks for the advice and I will check out that post

The coco I'm using is called Royal Gold Tupur. It's premixed and advertised as prebuffed. 70/30 and "aged forest materials" which I assume are proprietary, but people were ranting and raving about it online so I figured it would be the one I'd try.
I heard a tag or is it just the ringing in my head? Panama Red dabs :pass:.

Ok that is some of the best soil according to the foothill growers in these parts. They buy it by the truck and trailer load. so I don't think we need to look too hard at it.

Your PH pen is suspect for at least part of the grow. I lost a 6 plant crop because I trusted a cheap PH pen. That was an expensive lesson. I trust you have that working now? I always have a back-up on the shelf.

The clay pebbles can be a serious problem if you did not buy the more expensive PH Neutral pebbles? You still have to rinse the loose clay and particles off of them but they will not alter the PH in the pots. The cheap ones will just keep adding alkaline - big problem. Most peeps get the right ones.

Your plants are starving. After the first week in 150 PPM fertigation you need to move right up to 400 PPM for the next 4 or 5 days then go up to 550 - 600 PPM to harvest.

With the MegaCrop the needed balance of elements does not happen until around 550PPM so when you want to feed at a lessor PPM first mix 2.5g MC, 1g Epsom Salt (9%12%) and .5g of the Cal-Mag pro in one gallon of RO water. Then dilute it with RO water to the desired fertigating PPM for seedlings and feed this formula until the first week of real flower (don't jump the gun) then mix in a boost of P-K after that just a little P-K the rest of the grow.

Feed those girls.

:goodluck:

It took me way too long to realize that the cheap pens are trash. Ill be buying a bluelabs for my next grow.

✨Day 22✨ put them back on the trays. No leaking this time :woohoo1:
3 gallons in the res
Res water = 66.4°F
Recipe:
2.5g/gal MC
1g/gal magnesium sulfate
.5g/gal cal-mag
HoneForest PPM: 530
Vivosun PPM: 620
Avolan pH: 5.85
Vivosun pH: 5.92
Tent is at 55%* RH now
Light is ~25" from canopy @ 65%
Tent Temp: 75-77°F

I also attached a picture of the hydroton I'm using. It's the mother earth stuff.

Day 26
Showing sex now so that's good..maybe.

Lower leaves twisting terribly. Don't know what's causing it. Any ideas anyone?

Res is 5.9 pH
It hasn't drank but maybe a gallon. Not sure if it's wicking, and debating if these autopots are killing my plants. I'm tempted to just pull them off and flood drain the rest of the grow. Certainly not worth the ~$200 I paid for this setup if it's just going to kill my plants. If it's not wicking should I assume rot? Ugh. Annoying. I know something needs to be done soon, they didn't look like this yesterday.

Awkwardly, it's twisting back and forth, now it looks semi normal again an hour later. What in the hell? Is my airflow possibly too weak? Light is at 80% ~24" from the canopy.
I swear I didn't touch them!

Looks like they've grown quite a bit compared to your pictures from Saturday. But they're standing up nice and have good shape to them both. Definitely not dying. They don't really start drinking heavily until flower. I have 4 about the same age and they drank about 6 gallons this week combined. Can be tough to gauge bc of the black rez. You can put a piece of tape on the outside and see how much it goes down each day... Just keep an eye on the aqua valves, they shouldn't always be full, and never empty, but they don't empty quick when the plants are young. Also, after you've had a problem and fix it the existing leaves won't get better. Focus on how the new growth at the top now looks and gauge you adjustments by that. Keep ya head up

Sooo...it's been like a week I guess since I did the rez. It was 5 gallons and it looks now to be ~2/2.5
My question to the autopot experts:
Can I just add fresh water to my res or do I have to change it every week for sure for sure?

That's a good amount of drinking, so they're working. I let my rez run until there's like an inch or 2 in it and just refill with fresh mix. Only really drain and change mine when switch to flowering or correcting a problem
