Indoor First Grow Attempt: 250w Dresser Stealth Soil Grow

The power just went out for a good hour and a half. Back on now but still hottt and humid out. First time the plants light cycles been messed with.. Im pissed and worried. Hope they don't hermie or something.. Think its a possibility now?

they should be just fine. I went through all kinds of tornadic weather this year and lost power all over the place and some times for a day or two. it only becomes a danger if you go from like a short cycle to a long one and staid on it. I have had them hermie like that all the time. when i had to have my girls out side when we lost power for 8 days, i put them back in the room after that. When they were outside they only got 10 to 12 hours when they are in they get no less than 18. So when they went back in my room to the 18/6 after about 1.5 weeks they started throwing nanners

I just transplanted about 2 hours ago. The AKR got around 1.8 gallons, and the HBD got around 1.6 gallons (with the initial measurements).. But as I was filling up and getting soil in tight the rectangle turned to a circle quickly.. and I think it might be as high as 2.2 gallons and maybe 2.0 now maybe or are they meant to be circular? Sucks not knowing exactly. Well out of 10 stars, the transplant went about 3.5 stars. It was traumatizing!

The Afgan went without a problem, besides a lot of time getting her in right. The Blue diesel was just a mess, I will never use a a tall tupperware that was only filled till 2" under the rim so it was a pain getting her out. Definitely was a hard transplant for the HBD, went alright for the Afgan. Now I have not so much room as I under estimated how damn big those bags were getting. Had to move the passive intake PVC's over which weren't made by me to do so.. so I gotta foam seal it again through the bottom tonight.

ANYWAYS, the Afgan doesnt look good at all. Bottom leaves turning light green almost look white under the CFL's... The new growth on top is shriveling up. Lighting isnt adequate, needs the 250 watter I think.. giving it some time to heal from my rookie transplant. And fix whatever deficiency/problem first. Whats up with it?

The HBD's leaves feel dry and hard-ish. Not normal. Humidity at 36% and keeping around there, was 25% a while ago. I took the bowls of water out, will have to put something in somewhere, only 2 cups in there now. I would have been crazy to want 3 autos in there! Jeez. Maybe in 1 gallon nursey pots.

Have a lot of pictures. What I smoked before to calm down and prepare to the pics from just a couple hours ago. Absolutely no nutes and only pHed water of about 6.3-6.5 2 days before transplant and just watered with 6.5-6.7 water recently in new soil. Temps 79 degrees, inside thermometer says 76.5 degrees and 34% RH. Still have been misting, every now and again thinking the white spots will disappear, but I have stopped as of today.

What do you guys think? Whats up with the Afgan? Its the one thats not wide at all, but its taller, and yellowing on the bottom leaves, with the shriveled up new growth on top.

I haven't read through the entire thread, so apologies if it's somewhere in the beginning. In the past few pages, though, I haven't seen how often you're watering. What's your watering schedule like? Only reason I ask is that I had some that were really tiny small and looked like yours. Others I have at day 14 were a good 8-9 inches wide and 5-6 inches tall. That's some Onyx and Sour60 x Bluestreak. The ones that were small I know were root rot issues. This could totally not be the case with you, but figured I'd toss it out there. The leaves yellowed up on the bottom and became light and papery, and they were just pretty small.

Also, my humidity in veg sits around 70%. I can only imagine what 25-30% humidity feels like.... hardly ever gets that low on the coast of the ocean.

Thoughts?

I water whenever they feel light, in the small tupperwares it was like once every 1.5 days-2 days. In these 2 gal bags, I will probably try to water nicely once every 3-4 days I'd think. I use tap water thats sat out for a couple weeks, but people say that could be the reason or a nitrogen deficiency, maybe a mg deficiency. No nutes, just pHed water. They wake up in a couple hours, hope they look better! Very nervous

Little update:

Cant tell if the AKR is doing better yet, no yellowing as of tonight, just a weird light light green. Looks like it could start yellowing soon or maybe will hopefully get darker green soon. Got me nervous : / . The HBD looks alright I think, although I didn't plant her in the middle like I woulda liked. Any one else think they know whats going on with her? Could it too cold when the lights are off or a deficiency? Once it got to 60 degrees in the dresser when lights were off, and some other times when I wasn't home to turn the air conditioner off in time.

Edit: Think they can handle the 250w HPS within the next few days or should I wait till the Afgan feels better?

there on there way:)

Pictures from about an hour ago. Got a video for Youtube but its not uploading from my phone.. I'll try to get it on here.

I put water/sponges in there to help with humidity and another $6 4" fan. Hopefully they'll stretch nicely, kept the light somewhat high so I get hopefully get some height.

Hey Scott!

No transplant yet, trying to get my internet fixed and the companys supposed to be here by now.. Was hoping I can finally have good internet without the connection dying every 4 minutes or so like its been for a couple years.:cuss:

The girls wake up in about 4 hours and maybe I should transplant today? I watered them a good amount just last night though, should I wait for the soil to dry up within a couple days first before attempting my first transplant?

After the transplant I've been told to leave them under the CFL lighting for a day or 2 then onto the 250w HPS after. I guess so the new HPS light and the transplant doesn't stress or hermie the girls. Sound right?

Thanks for stickin around Scott

Out of all those autos in your sig, whats your favorite smoke? Best yielder?
Edit: and how did you like the Blue Himalaya? How tall did she get?
I also have Onyx, seems like they get kinda big. Hows the Onyx going?

Sorry for the delay been away for a few days. It looks like you got them transplanted. It might take a few for them to bounce back but no worries just go light on watering for a bit. I try to start them in the pot they will be grown with if I know they are females due to space issues.

My fav smoke? Probably the Speedy Gonzales with the Cobra second. The Blue Himilaya was 3rd. It got over 16 inches and was just under ounce dried but I had some issues in that grow so I am trying it again. AKR was my biggest yielder at over a ouce in a 3L pot so I am trying it this time in the 2 gallon and expect more. Its pretty couch lock stuff. My onyx is just over 12 inches but very branchy at around 30 days but I am using a 1 gallon air pot that should keep it from getting to tall. There are a few ways to keep a plant shorter just as pot size and products like Bushmater if they start getting too big for your area. My plants always get taller with the taller pots it seems. I try to keep them a managable size and the yield will not be as big as they could be in other situtations.
